Room was basic and in need of refurbishment, very old fashioned furniture. Reception was not manned and took us over 10 minutes to get someone’s attention to let us into the building upon check in, there was a number to call but due to our SIM card we could not get through ! We had to bang on the door to get a cleaners attention! Lift carpet was absolutely filthy, but rooms were clean. Location was great for public transport but we would not chose to stay again - price reflected the standard

Great location in the Haymarket not far from China town and the trams. Apartment was clean and well equipped. Although there was blinds at all the windows it was quite bright at night so if you like to sleep in darkness use an eye mask. There was air con units running outside but not all night. We didn't see the person on reception often, he did arrange a taxi for us but it never turned up

We stayed in the Heritage Suit 2 bedroom. Beds & pillows very comfortable. The shower hot with good pressure. If you want to watch TV or just sit in the lounge room the seating is inadequate. The lounge is not a lounge it is a sloping bed which at most will seat 2. Apart from that there is a small window seat. Luckily we were only staying 1 night, otherwise would have to have congregated in the main bedroom to be entertained. Valentine on George is in a great location with an easy walk to Central Station. Staff very friendly.
