The smell of insect spray is strong and overwhelming. There is hair in the bathroom that they could have washed away with just water, shoe marks on the bed sheets, and spiders on the wall. The manager said they cannot change my room—what terrible service

Don’t stay here at weekend as you’re in for a noisy night. Club music until late or early hours, even if only seven people in the bars. Rooms are decently decorated and priced, but if you’re in the rooms which have a window in bathroom into courtyard, there’s no way to block out changing lights so like a disco in your room all night so bring eye mask and ear plugs. Otherwise, great location

I had to leave at 11:30 at night because the place was so noisy from the music at the hotel. I had earplugs in and a pillow over my head and the bed was vibrating from the music. DO NOT STAY HERE ON A WEEKEND UNLESS YOU PLAN TO BE OUT ALL NIGHT PARTY. This property should not have a 4 star rating it is false advertising.

Great position, in a heart of Manly. Lovely old, but renovated hotel. Some music noise kept us awake for a while, but it's expected for the Friday night. We had a pleasant stay, thank you

The Steyne Hotel has always been a much loved Hotel for not just me, but my dear Dad and all my dear family and friends who have stayed and visited many times. If you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em.

I love this hotel as it is right by the water. It is convenient to shops, restaurants, and the Manly Ferry. We have stayed here a few times and enjoyed it. However, be advised that if you stay on a Friday or Saturday night, you will hear the music and the thumping base, and it does not stop until about 2am. It is loud enough that the toilet seat vibrates!!! Take ear plugs or join the revelry downstairs!

The Steyne is a great spot and great location. There are several things to like including location, great food and the view. The Steyne do amazing breakfasts. We were really happy with all of the service. On the downside don't get a room underneath the dance floor if you are looking to go to bed before 3am. Saturday night is a 3am finish and without earplugs you will not sleep.
