Novotel Sydney on Darling Harbour

Our holiday felt very brief as we enjoyed the comfort, cleanliness, and friendliness at this great location. We didn't want to leave! We've been at other Novotel hotels in other countries but this one was 10/10. The room was spacious, modern and the bed very comfortable. We were on floor 9 and had great quality sleep. Check-in and check-out were fast, and internet was really good. We had free newspapers delivered. The restaurant had fabulous fresh food for breakfast and dinner. The menu was creative and delicious. The atmosphere was festive any time of the day. Walking out to entertainment or shopping at Darling Harbour was so convenient.Parking was a bit on the expensive side but the convenience was worth it. We would go back anytime.

Our stay was in a executive room with Darling Harbour views. The room was large with great views, but furniture old and date the bathroom looked to be original with a re tiled floor the old shower in the bath type.I found the bedding uncomfortable ,kept rolling off only to find the mattress topped with a think pillow top type overlay that would not stay fixed to the mattress. For the foyer it was well appointed and comfortable. I was disappointed.

Had trouble with no hot water in our room. Changed rooms which made us lose half a day looking around Sydney, missed the markets. The room was smaller as well. Later that day I had to call up for towels, when I wanted a cup of tea I had to call again for some cups. This is a 4.5 star hotel, paid over $300 a night. I would not expect to have these problems in a $100 a night hotel. The staff did try their best to appease us, so thanks to all concerned there.

Stayed here on 9 July 2017 for one night. Excellent bed . Great breakfast incl in price. Had noted on one website that there was a shuttle from the airport.... couldn't find. Called up reception to see whi ch train station was nearest in city. Think I was speaking to someone in Philippines who after some time told me to get off at central station and then a short 1k walk. Luckily I caught a taxi as difficult to get from train to hotel.

When you are paying over $300 a night for room only you should expect a bit better. I had a wonderfull view of a construction site. No separate shower and very average towels. Carpet showing signs of wear and in need of replacement. Not good value for money.

Located right on Darling harbour and a short walk to Sydney's new ICC, great for vacation and business stays. This hotel does get busy sometime because of its great location and good rates. Special thanks to Scott and the front office team for the wine. Cheers...

Has always been a great location, rooms always comfortable. Have stayed at this hotel every year for 15 years. Always found it convenient to get to Town Hall when the monorail was there a little bit inconvient as have to go light rail then train to town hall but still good location. Car park good as directly behind hotel.

Fantastic stay at Novotel darling harbour. Checkin was faultless and our room was ready early. Andrew from guest relations was very attentive and interested in us as guests. We enjoyed a wonderful meal in ternary restaurant, served by the bright, bubbly Nina. A wonderful stay to celebrate our anniversary, we were made to feel so special. Thank you.

I stayed here on a business trip and have to admit, the location is pretty darn good. At first glance the hotel seems really good as the accor group have obviously spent a lot of money refurbishing the foyer and restaurant areas. They are both really lovely. Unfortunately though, the same can't be said for the actual rooms. Walking from the elevator to my room - the first thing I noticed was that the floor seemed uneven? Almost as if the concrete wasn't flat and the carpet had just been laid over the top. Once in the room, it was basic but had everything I guess you need for a short break. The carpet in my room was stained and the décor really needs a freshen up as the room seemed 'tired' and in need of a refurbishment as well. Given that this isn't exactly a 'cheap' hotel, I would definitely stay elsewhere next time i'm in Sydney for business. Was disappointed with what I got for the price. Best part about this hotel is definitely the location - a short 5 minute walk through a shopping center to Darling Harbour.

Great hotel at a great cost in a great location. Big rooms with comfortable amenities and bathroom. Free access to wifi on loyalty membership was handy. Lack of USB charge outlet shows the age, especially for a business class of hotel. In room dining choice good. Delivery timely and with all needed (pepper/salt, tomato sauce, napkin) however not so hot. Great restaurant. Love a Novotel buffet breakfast. Hallway carpets just need replacing.
