We stayed at Novotel Darling Harbour as a spur of the moment decision get away, arriving at 4.30 in the afternoon just for some down time. From the moment we arrived, the customer service exceeded all expectation. We were checked in by Renee, who took it upon herself to upgrade us into a suite and have a bottle of wine sent to our room. I can't explain how much this meant just to have something positive happening in a totally unplanned weekend. Renee was so professional and sweet and made our one night stay memorable just in that act of kindness. I can't praise or thank her enough for upgrading us. It really meant a lot to have something nice happen! The suite was lovely, the view was amazing, the breakfast superb. I can't fault the Novotel and we will definitely be planning another break in the future. Thank you Novotel and especially Renee at check in for making our stay so wonderful.
Great location, room was good size had everything you need BUT the pillows were terrible they should be thrown out, worst pillows i have ever had. Room was a bit tired but clean, staff all polite & friendly, breakfast was good. For the money you pay you expect a bit more, parking is expensive $55 per night but thats sydney anywhere. Overall it was nothing special.
Friendly, helpful staff and quality service. The location was close to shows and other entertainment. It was easy to park your care and then ease of access. The room was well fitted out with lovely views of the city.
Novotel Darling Harbour is very well situated with plenty of shopping and food within easy walking distance. The staff are very helpful and the rooms very comfortable. As an Advantage member, I was delighted to receive free drinks vouchers and water in my room.
Hotel and Amenities are great and location is very good in centre of city right on darling harbour. Only issue found was it is hard to find as surrounded by so many high rise buildings with one way streets where GPS gives up as well. Another issue is parking not easy to find.
This hotel is mostly about the location and as that goes there is nothing to beat a front seat on the Darling Harbour. Highlights of the hotel are the spacious well appointed rooms. We were a family of 4 with 2 kids and had comfortable spaces for sleep. The buffet breakfast was really impressive especially the bounties from the bakery. Easy access to the Harbour area, melange of restaurants and shopping options made it a great experience. Service at the hotel was unobtrusive but efficient. Spent a refreshing 3 nights and had some of the best views possible in Sydney.
Absolutely awesome stay this week at Novotel Darling Harbour. The staff were fantastic and helpful at every turn. My extra late checkout today was especially appreciated after a huge week selling Victoria!!
Pretty disappointed when I pay over $400 a night to find the bathroom is mouldy and dirty. It obviously hadn't been cleaned as there was an old cake of soap from the previous person. Bathroom is badly in need of a renovation. Lots of mould around fittings and tile grout, overall very grubby. Our daughter was on the same floor and her bathroom was just as bad. Water pressure in the shower was pitiful. The view was wonderful from the 9th floor and the location is close to restaurants and rail. Beds and pillows comfortable enough. Sorely in need of a renovation if you expect to charge these prices.
I have stayed here more than once and the rooms are well fitted out ,reception staff are a bit hit and miss.Breakfast is a must and with a chef on hand to cook you your favorite omelete!!!.location is good as is close to great eateries.
My wife and i planned an overnight stay at the venue. We were going on a harbour dinner cruise which was amazing. This place was so close to absolutely everything. At the warf where all the cruise boat were docked there was such a great atmosphere and plenty of entertainment close by. We stayed in room 534 which had great views.
