I travel around Australia ( National Account Manager) and constantly met with the approach that I will steal or damage property. I stayed here a few months ago . Paid in full in advance. Minute I walked through the door, was asked for credit card. Naturally, I asked why ? Incidentals came back the reply ie we reckon you'll thieve and damage. Refused to spend another cent , had every meal out including breakfast. Much to my horror today, I'd booked the same motel by mistake for another 3 nights, again paid in full. Same response. Haven't learnt from my last experience. However, this time it's worse. It's hot in Sydney and they've set air con at 25 degrees. Like a sauna in that room. 39 tomorrow and similar on Thursday. Seriously, give this joint a wide berth. Shocking in all aspects. There are plenty of other places to stay in Sydney. Take this one off your list!!!!
Three of us stayed one night. Booked a double plus sofa bed with breakfast but were upgraded to a 3 bed room. Bathroom was somewhat cosy but the shower was hot and powerful. Room clean, aircon unit good and not too much road noise, even though we had a room facing the road. Breakfast was not spectacular but there was plenty of choice. Good customer service. Only downsides were the too firm for me foam pillows and wi-fi that was patchy to connect (in the morning) and a little slow, but overall I would stay again.
Upon returning to our room after dinner. A loud yelling at our door in the hallway. A man had forgotten something in our room.,when he had checked out. The staff made it into a huge deal. When all they had to do was give the man back the bag he left behind. They the staff went into our room and rummaged through our belongings. Even though the item had been given to the desk earlier for the man to pick up. WTF?
The hotel is located conveniently at the busy junction between Victoria Road and Bowden Street, so noise can be a problem for rooms facing main roads. Ask for room with odd number which face inward the carpark and therefore much quieter. A cafe is just opposite to hotel main entrance. The hotel and room were generally clean but old fashion, as expected for the price. There is a small balcony attached to the room which may appeal to some. Wi Fi was free but can be slow. All the basics are there and there was not much that didn't tick the box. Train station (Meadowbank and West Ryde) are both less than 15 minutes' walking distance away. It's also bus stops right along Victoria Road except very limited option for destination.
Stopped here for 2 nights with a young family. Nice big family room overlooking pool. Good wifi and tv channels. Short walk to riverside and short drive to a great shopping centre. Friendly staff. Would stay again.
Happy with our choice. Very clean and helpful staff. Rooms are very comfortable very clean. Food in restaurant is loverly. Best choice to stay there for a change from where we would normally had stayed. Will be booking there again next time no questions asked.
I was attending a conference and this was the only hotel close by with a room available. It was in the 'Hostel' area but according to the information for the booking appeared suitable. The spacious triple room was clean but it is housed within a dilapidated house next door to the hotel. There is garbage about the garden area and to me seemed unsavoury. Inside there is a corridor leads to a kitchen and an outside sitting area with garbage strewn around. According to information for my booking it noted tea and coffee maker. I didn't check at first as I noted a kettle on top of a fridge. Early morning I began searching for tea/ coffee/ milk/ cups etc. and could find none. Not even a glass for water. On checking out I mentioned this to reception who told me "everything is in the kitchen. I asked how would I know that? Wi fi was so slow when I accessed Google it cut out. I was needing to access for business but was impossible. Granted there was an apology but no offer of any compensation. Would never stay there again -only as a last resort.
Comfy bed & Clean room. Reception staff friendly. Disappointed though as there were no wine glasses (only water glasses) in the room. The location was a short bus trip to ANZ Stadium and shopping centre.
Needed a room for a reasonable cost for 5. Close to Meadowbank rail station 800m and Top Ryde Shopping centre. Small bathroom. Had to request a microwave and extra coffee cup and towel. Try to get a room away from busy Victoria Rd. Clean, neat and tidy.
We booked this motel by mistake. Thought it was another one. Very happy mistake. Easy to get to and check in. Staff were very pleasant. Book directly and receive 10% off. Comfortable room with all required amenities. We will be staying here again next year. 5 star at 3 star price. We did not have breakfast but a buffet is available.
