The location was excellent. The room was very small...only enough for one person. No amenities. But there were excellent cafes nearby.

The hotel was great! Clean, quiet, modern rooms. Staff was friendly and helpful. Location was excellent and only a 4-minute walk from the hop on, hop off sightseeing bus. Train station was just a few minutes beyond that. Ton of eating places outside the door as well as a grocery store, laundry, etc. The only downside was the wifi was extremely slow.

The hotel was perfect for a solo traveler! My room was just the right size for me. It was clean and comfortable for my stay. The hotel staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful every step of the way. The location was great! It is close to public transport and 25- 35 minute walks to the sights. Would book here again and highly recommend!

The hotel is clean, close to train station. However the room that we stay is extremely small. We can hardly move around inside the room. No space to put our luggage.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Chalis in 1972 for an extended stay . I can say now that after revisiting Sydney in 2013after so many years the service was and is still the same friendly atmosphere . I felt secure at the Chalis .

Possibly the worst hotel i've ever stayed.Dirty,the staff acted like they hated working there and it showed in their attitudes and the condition of the place.Shared a bathroom with 40 other people.

hotel room is extremely small

As you would have noticed, our building is a very old heritage building and the rooms have been adapted in the best possible way for all rooms to offer an ensuite bathroom.
