Spent two night here. Was in Sydney for medical appointments - one at RPA at Camperdown and the other at Bella Vista the following day, so I thought that I would camp somewhere between the two. This place is not the easiest to find because it is in a very narrow side street and the entrance is very narrow, only one vehicle at a time. There seems to be plenty of parking once inside but the place is a bit of a rabbit warren.Despite being just off the highway I didn't notice any traffic noise. However the tariff is great for a motel in this part of town and the rooms are fine. Nothing too extravagant, even a bit dated but spot on for cleanliness, and the view from many of the rooms is fabulous. You can even see aircraft coming and going at Mascot Airport. The restaurant is fairly basic. The evenings entertainment is mine host, a gentleman of Italian heritage with the flair to match. I can't say that my meals were anything other than your basic home cooked style. Breakfast was also different. If you intend having bacon and eggs take my tip. Ask for the eggs to be properly cooked so that the white is white and not translucent and unless you prefer your bacon fried to a crisp, ask for it to be flexible. Newspapers are free in the restaurant at breakfast time. Anyhow I will stay here again. It is good value. Wi Fi is free. Staff very friendly and helpful.

I stayed at this hotel for three nights at the end of April, choosing it purely on price as it was the cheapest "decent" hotel anywhere near Sydney CBD. The hotel itself was absolutely fine, with friendly reception staff and clean, comfortable rooms. I was spending all my days and evenings in the CBD, and as a non-driver was reliant on public transport. Which, in Sydney, is pretty good. There are plenty of buses serving the main road outside the hotel, all of which will take you to / from St Leonards station for frequent trains, and around half directly to / from the CBD. Artarmon station is also walkable, albeit around 20 minutes away. At weekends, there are even buses all night on a roughly hourly frequency. So while it might be more convenient to stay in the city centre a staggering distance from the nightlife, staying here is perfectly feasible and can save you a packet. My only criticism would be that the internet signal was very weak in my room (middle of lower level).

This place is so peaceful and quiet we got the rest we needed. Free wi-fi and comfy bed. Easy to get to and from the Pacific Motorway and even easier to get back on the motorway. Mini bar facilities have a great selection if nibbles, beer, wine and soft drinks. At $129 per night it is reasonably priced and definitely worth it. Well done we'll be back.

My sisters and I stayed in the two room family apartment on the ground floor which was absolutely spotless. Lane Cove shops and restaurants are just around the corner within easy walking distance and we enjoyed excellent Italian fare for dinner there. On Sunday morning we had the buffet breakfast, with a hot breakfast available if we had wanted it. We walked to the bus interchange and caught the express bus to the city (16 minutes) which was excellent. The staff are extremely polite and cheerful, and nothing is too much trouble. The beds were really comfortable and we were surprised that it was so quiet, being that it's on a major road. Our stay here was lovely and I would highly recommend this hotel, and will stay here again.

Great location, accessible but quiet. Good view from the room. Our room was on the ground floor opening to the carpark. It was easy to move our luggage in and out of the room from /to the car. The room was specious, with 27 sq metres. Bed and pillows was comfortable. Bathroom was good size but shower place was cramped. Everything's working and clean. Air conditioning and wifi ran well.

Went to Sydney for the weekend for a family function and needed to be not to far from either location. centre of Sydney the hotels are just too expensive. so we chose Comfort Inn in Lane Cove. it looked to be in the middle of nowhere, but turned out to be only a short walk from a nice shopping/cafe strip in Lane Cove proper. the hotel is old style more a motel, but very clean. good size room, everything worked, staff I dealt with where polite and helpful. very close to the freeway to get back into Sydney as quickly as Sydney traffic will let you, but little to no traffic noise. I though it a good value hotel and would stay there again.

We stayed here for two nights. The price was reasonable for its location, facilities were alright and the room and bathroom clean. The room was old style although it had been freshly painted. Beds comfortable, close to public transport, free parking and wifi. The breakfast was $19.00 and not great, you would be better off at a cafe somewhere. The motel is at the top of a steep hill, a short drive (and walkable) to shops and restaurants. We found trying to navigate the bus system back home from Sydneydifficult. The transport website was incorrect and different bus drivers all gave a different answer! Going to Sydney was fine but make sure you know your way around to come back! If you want cheap and basic accommodation then this is good.

This hotel is close to the airport but very expensive taxi ride to Darling Harbor, always get booked in here when in transit in Sydney. Staff are friendly and food is cheap. Room is always clean, could do with a gym in the hotel.

We stayed at the Comfort Inn for one night. The room itself was very basic but clean and well presented. We dealt with the night staff which suited us due to our late arrival.. late booking available. The car park was undercover and close to our room.

I stayed at Comfort Inn North Shore for four nights (Monday to Thursday) in a standard queen room on the lower side of the hotel. This position was good as it meant the room was away from the main highway and thus had minimal traffic noise. However, I unfortunately found the noise from other hotel guests walking/standing in the carpark area outside the rooms filtered into my room very easily. The room was basic and somewhat outdated, however clean and tidy. The bathroom is quite cramped and there is nowhere in the bathroom to place a toiletry bag as there is no bathroom vanity - basin only. I ended up sitting my toiletry bag on the chair just outside the bathroom door, which was ok for me as I was travelling alone, however this wouldn't be quite as ideal if there were others sharing your room. Also, the shower had a relatively high lip (the depth of a fairly regular sized bathroom tile) that you had to step over to get into the shower. This could pose difficulties for less able-bodied people. The shower only had a shower curtain. The bed was relatively comfortable, pillows plump (too high for me, but I admit that I do like a fairly flat pillow) and spare blankets in the wardrobe if required. The bed linen left somewhat to be desired and could do with replacing - there were small holes in the flat sheet and the bed linen was not changed during my four night stay. Wi-fi is offered on a one-hour free per night, every hour thereafter at an additional cost basis. Unfortunately I couldn't even take advantage of the free hour per night as I found the wi-fi to be unreliable - cutting in and out and when connected, very slow download speed. I ended up using my own data as it was too frustrating to deal with the hotel wi-fi. Customer service at check in and check out was average. Check out was better than check in however neither interaction was particularly impressive. The restaurant was surprisingly quite good for a hotel of this standard. The food was tasty (very well seasoned! I am always heavy on salt however I didn't touch the salt shaker during either of my two meals eaten in the restaurant), the waiter was friendly and service provided within reasonable time frames. Portion size I would rate as extremely generous (and I am a big eater).
