Executive Apartment ... spacious ... large king size bed and bedroom area; practical kitchen and range of utensils for own meal preparation, storage and cooking; spacious lounge / desk area for TV, discussion and balcony. Very clean and well presented. Excellent bed and linen for comfortable sleep. Just so well located to many Sydney features - trains, walk to Circular Quay (15 mins), Coles supermarket within 5 minutes walk and a range of convenient eating places for a quick meal, good coffee, safe pedestrian crossings well marked, near an excellent pub "water hole", within 4 minutes walk for the new Sydney Masonic Conference Centre (SMC). Great value and no fuss for those who do not need to be pampered by ***** hotel staff service and culture. I will return there for sure.
the location is really good, which you can find restaurants and shopping mall nearby. However, the stay is average as the room is not as big as I thought. Moreover, the facility and the fashion are quite old from my perspective. Wi-Fi are limited.
If the internet was any slower I would be in 1994. The mould in the bathroom was as unpleasant as the mould on the curtains. It smells all through the room and is awful. Apart from the laundry facilities, which may be good...this place is gross. Just don't stay here.
Loved my apartment- and I was given an upgrade to an open plan studio... it was very roomy and clean and had a balcony!! The location is perfect.. close to central station, capital theatre and an easy walk to the CBD. Lots of food options close by. As it is in a side street off Goulburn - Uber and taxis were able to pull up out front.
I stayed overnight recently and found the price economical considering its location and offerings of onsite parking, gym, pool and in room facilities. The staff were very welcoming and check in was polite fast and helpful. After heading down to The Rocks for entertainment we returned disappointed to discover that we did not have to really go any further than the hotel next door.
The APX World Square Hotel is excellent. Srarting from the warm welcome from all the staff especially Parth. And also during all our stay : 4 nights. The studio apartement is spacious with a full kitchen including washer and dryer. Large screen TV with great free movies. Also hidding in a small street with relatively small sign, it is perfect for couples and families. It is close to city center, china town and a Coles Supermarket across the street. Prices are very affordable. We recommened this hotel very much. The only problem is the small shower with sliw drainage
I recently stayed 2 nights at the APX Apartments. Room I had a studio apartment, which was good size with the bed, couch & desk in the room. The bathroom was clean, though small & would only fit 1 person in there. The kitchenette was good with 2 gas burners, oven, microwave & medium size fridge. More then acceptable. The bed was 2 singles pushed together to make a queen, which is never a great experience. Pillows were average. Gym & Pool The gym was large, with treadmill, exercise bikes etc the cable machine looked like health hazard & was basically unusable. Note: they had dumbbells up-to 25kg which is great for a hotel gym. I didn't use the pool but had a look. It was 3 quarters covered by roof of the floor above and then extended out into the open. It looked nice & I could imagine it would be a nice area in summer. The pool felt heated so you could use it all year round. Location The location is at the south end of the city not far (5 minute) walk to both central or museum Station. It would be a 30 minute walk to the harbour. There are lots of restaurant options near by & around 10 walk to the Pitt St mall. APX fitted within my work hotel budget allocation and though it won't be my first choice I would stay again and particularly for longer stays.
My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights during vivid. Rooms were quite expensive and we were nervous as some photos of the rooms looked much better than others. We were glad the service had onsite parking, as the world square parking was extremely expensive and my 4WD wouldn't fit in the close by City of Sydney carpark. Parking was fairly expensive at $50 per night, but was worth it for the convenience. When we arrived we were very happy with our room and the facilities available (washer and dryer in room, full size fridge, dishwasher and stove, 2 x TVs). Room was very spacious and well presented. The king size bed was very comfortable and we both had a great nights sleep both nights. The location was good, with lots of shopping available in World Square and easy walking distance to Darling Harbour. There were a few downfalls - We had to get one of our swipecards reprogrammed twice and it still didn't work properly, leaving us unable to get to our level in the lift. The wifi was very slow and air conditioning was unacceptably loud. All in all it was a great 'base' for the weekend and we felt very at home. For a one night stay I will probably use a hotel rather than serviced apartments, but for 2+ nights I would definitely stay here again
The rooms were clean, large and had everything you need for a comfortable stay. The staff were so friendly constantly checking we had everything we needed and we were comfortable. Even though being a public holiday there was no house keeping they still made sure we had soft clean towels. Staff member Perph was so friendly and up for a chat and really was a highlight of our stay!
The location of this hotel is ideal, or at least it was for me. It's a 5 minute walk from the train station, 10 minutes from the zoo, and 15-20 minutes from the Opera House. It was also nice having a full size fridge, as well as a microwave, oven, washer and dryer, and even utensils and dish soap as well as laundry detergent. The only issue I had with this hotel was a pretty big one, though. We flew into Sydney from Bangkok and arrived at the hotel before 1000. This has happened more than a few times and is usually no big deal, but my only options with this hotel were to wait until 1400 and walk around on a not so nice winter day, or pay $100 extra to check in a little early. I opted to pay, but feel that amount is ridiculous and was basically the charge for an entire extra day. If I would have known this issue beforehand, I would not have chose this hotel.
