The reviews are a bit hit and miss about this hotel and we didn’t eat here or had a drink in the bar but the room we had was clean and large and we slept well, because this was the most important thing to us we think this hotel is excellent value. The lifts worked fine although one says you can’t use at certain times but you had no choice because you had to use the first one that arrived. A big bonus was the attitude of the staff who were friendly and went out of there way to find us a parking space, the large car park by the station and the overflow was full and there were several people like us driving round for ages and others parked on the pavement just waiting for a space. So because of that we will try and stay here in future.

Stayed one night and don't think we will be back.We were on the 4th floor which wouldnt have been a problem had the lifts been working. As my wife didn't want to climb the stairs too many times we decided to stay in the hotel.I went to the bar only too be told they had ran out of lager. (This was a Saturday night!!!)

clean comfy room, decent bathroom, wifi, all you can eat breakfast & helpful staff. Really, for less than £50 for two its hard to fault. Location was ideal for us, the car park only a short walk away but there is a drop off parking area. Here's a shock though - we wanted to stay in Portsmouth the following night, the staff enquired directly with the hotel for us and came back with over £300 for one night! gulp

Rooms recently decorated! Nice enough but they forgot the bathroom 😫Mold stains etc ... No on site car parking ! You have to park in a multi storey car park opposite with no subsidy from the hotel! Worst thing is they don’t provide you with any Tea/Coffee in the room ?!?! WTF you have to go down to Reception and make it then go back to your room! Very disappointed 😔

Overall I am very happy with the Holiday Inn Express in Swindon, the service is good, the rooms are nice, modern and clean and the location is great - however their pricing leaves a bit to be desired. I know that all the hotels and B&Bs in and around Swindon jack up their prices during the Air Tattoo week, but paying 800 gbp for five nights in what is basically a fairly standard hotel is a bit much.

even though I used to live in Swindon I found the trip very pleasurable through myself visiting both friends and family along with a football match as well. I would use them again if I had to if it were for leisure or otherwise I would recommend it to other friends and family if they had to use it

Just what you'd expect from a Holiday Inn Express Good central location, clean rooms good breakfast and good budget price exactly what's made this chain so popular walking distance from shopping mall for the shopaholics

Hotel was clean enough and pretty local for the centre. We hired a meeting room the projector was 8 years out of date with its PAT test! Which means it didnt comply with Electricity at Work act or any other regulation. Also my was coverered in bird s..t after using the car park ! They could warn you. As a Spire Elite member not great

When i booked the telesales went on about how good they were, when was the last time you stayed at one of your holiday inns. The rooms were upgrade yet the management had let them run down with many stains on the carpets and walls The bathroom floor had footprints on, missed by cleaning team. The room had very little ventilation and i had to use a noisy fan and have the widow open to sleep. However i was on the railway side and every time a train went passed i was awoken. The beds were ok a bot uncomfortable, they really should look at a premier inn bed as they are 50 times better. The lighting in the room was very poor. The bathroom sink had a nasty back smell and made funny noise after use for a few minutes. The shower was anything but a power shower as the booking team raved about and the soap dispenser was broken or empty and the tube of soap just thrown on the floor by the hotel team very well presented this not!. Breakfast was ok the choice in contrast to a Travelodge, premier inn etc was a lot less on the hot side and again on the cold selection. . By a long way not a full English breakfast! The staff did explain things on check in seemed like they were welcoming me off a script as a points customer, a little over the to and standardised to treat us as all numbers and not valued customers like other hotel chains do. On check out i was asked if everything was ok and i said not really and the reception did not ask more but said ok. Checkout summed up the stay! Lack of attention to detail and quality was the team of this stay.

Car park was 10 minutes walk away in the pouring rain They only serve 2 types of pizza on Sunday evening at 19:30 - nothing else Tap beer was sour Breakfast was disgusting - Luke warm, cardboard sausage and powdered scrambled egg And me evening was disturbed by at least 2 other parties complaining loudly to the duty manager DON'T DO IT
