This is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The bed looked like it had not been changed, sheets were wrinkled. The towels were grungy, the floor so dirty,I dared not step on it with my bare feet and what took it over the top was that when I got into the shower, there were black hair in it. I would not have stayed except that friends I was with thought their room was not that bad.I know that I will NEVER stay at a Thriftlodge again.I would gladly pay more and have a clean room. When I told them at checkout, they mostly ignored it, no offer to reduce my costs, just a barely audible 'I'm sorry."

The key cards for our room didn't work so I took them to the front desk and the kid working reprogrammed them. Walked all the way back and they still didn't work. He said I must have put them too close to my cell phone and erased them. Twice. He acted irritated that we wanted working keys. He took them back to the office then brought them back and left. I took them and immediately tried them and they still didn't work and he was gone. Took them all the way back again and he said "I TOLD you not to put them near electronics!". Pardon me? He reprogrammed them again and brought them to the room himself and, shockingly, they didn't work. He fiddled with the door mechanism for a while and then informed us that the door must have been shaken and the battery was disconnected. Interesting, as it blinked red when we tried the keys and his master key worked. He then lectured us to be careful with the door and keep the keys away from electronics. Everything else in the room was broken, but obviously we were responsible for the malfunctioning locking mechanism. Not the experience we were looking for at midnight after driving all day. There are at least 10 other motels nearby, don't choose this one.

It was ok but it needs up keep and they need to check their guests I had to had a tick removed from my body the next day.

Quiet comfortable room reasonably priced. Hotel staff very pleasant. Had problems hooking up to their wi-fi network and hotel owner went way and beyond being helpful and troubleshooting the problem with me.

Awesome stay! We picked this Hotel for our return trip as well. We liked the price, the rooms were clean and quiet. We will stay here again as we have family to visit in Alberta. Thanks!

Travelling to BC for vacation when we got a flat tire at on Hwy 1 around 10 PM. After changing tire we returned to Swift a Current looking for motel allowing pets and urgent accommodation as about 1AM. Thriftlodge fit our needs and number to call on door provided quick assistance. Manager was accommodating, and room was fine and clean but needs some definite upgrading. Heating system was very good but room was very dry and windows do not open. That was major downfall.

Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Bathroom extremely small. Small dining area, breakfast good. Would stay there again.

Travelling with 2 Great Dane puppies. The pet friendly room was large enough for them. The problem is carpet in a pet room. We have been travelling across country and this is the first room that didn't have vinyl flooring. We love dogs but the carpet held the smell of pets that came before us. There is lots of room to walk your dogs around the motel. If you are coming for the casino, be sure to take advantage of the free play offer from the motel. The casino is a couple of minutes down the road.

Rooms are clean,quiet..Dog friendly and lots of room for my Dane.James was very friendly and willing to chat in the mornings. We will be back again. Bill

There were bugs crawling on the floor, room smelled of stale smoke, smoke detector hanging from the ceiling, dead flies on the bed, old pool building all abandoned. Whole separate building where our room was looked abandoned. Whole place is just disgusting. Plus afterwards we found out they are really no less expensive than the newer, nicer hotels in swift current.
