Summary:

This has to be one of the most luxurious holiday homes on the Sunshine Coast. The four-bedroom property is architecturally stunning in the prime spot on the Mooloolah River canals. It has multiple dining and entertaining areas, including private gym, canal-side pool, trampoline, pool table and jetty. Inviting bedrooms, a barbecue dining terrace, two living rooms and a designer kitchen accentuate its opulence. It also has parking for up to four vehicles and quick access to the Kawana Beach.



The Space:

This is a spacious property with mansion-esque proportions and luxurious furnishings, appliances and finishes throughout. The ground floor is dedicated to entertaining with a sprawling central living room, adjoining TV room, designer kitchen, covered barbecue dining terrace, outdoor dining and walls of bi-fold doors connecting the inside to the outside. There are also four bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms spread throughout the property, with a main bedroom on the upper floor complete with its own balcony overlooking the canals. There’s also a full laundry and a private gym, pool, sun deck and jetty.

The Neighborhood:

Minyama is a charming suburb of Kawana Waters on the Sunshine Coast. It is comprised mostly of beautiful homes on the Mooloolah River canals, but also includes leafy parkland along the water and a popular shopping strip along Nicklin Way. Minyama is a great base from which to explore the Sunshine Coast with easy access to the beaches, shopping, dining and entertainment of Kawana and Mooloolaba.

The house was very comfortable, the position was fabulous however for the price charged the house is very dated with old tired furniture, poor layout with tripping hazards everywhere. There were many issues like handle on oven was broken, most of the outside lighting didn’t work, bifold doors were stiff and scraped on the bottom tracks, only one teatowel was supplied for two weeks and we were told to go to the store and buy more for ourselves. The extractor fan over the sunroom bbq plate did not work and the outdoor Bbq ignition switch did not work. Pool gate did not close automatically. Drains were blocked in the second bathroom ( we had to clear ourselves - lots of hair in them) While these issues were relatively minor we found to report them you had to email Made Comfy who are based in India and the process was very painful to get a response. I had to ring and email several times before I spoke to a representative who finally logged the issues and we did get some of them fixed but only two days before we left. The inconvenience caused by these issues did not match the price we paid for the accommodation. A local number could be provided to contact a maintenance team to deal with problems promptly. Apart from the above issues we did enjoy the house and our stay.

Great house, but very unloved.

The house was beautiful, very well appointed, but it's obvious it had had very little maintenance and the cleaning was pretty woeful.I reported A LOT of issues and judging by past comments, I doubt t they would have been addressed, whichis disappointing as its marketedas s premium property. We also had oower issues with the lights TVs and air con tripping. On the last day the same happened to the garage and motorised gate meaning we had to get an emergency out so we ciul electrician out

Work mate fun

A group of work mates needing a coastal break, had a wonderful stay in a very comfortable, luxurious home. We explored the local area and even caught a few fish from the jetty. The local seafood was amazing and the sunsets were sensational 😊

Disappointing

While the house is very well appointed and superficially clean, on settling in you realise just how much dust and dirt there is including shelves and carpets. The family were savaged by bed bugs and are still trying to recover. Hard to take considering the cost of the stay and the cleaning fee. There was no mention of the multiple internal steps from room to room , an issue if elderly are accompanying you. Fate and front door not shutting properly No response to our complaints from management or owner. I would consider a refund of at least the cleaning fee would be appropriate. I would NOT recommend.

Very Disappointed

The property itself was lovely. Unfortunately the house was not clean, the floors had not been vacuumed or mopped, the bathrooms had massive amounts of mould in them and we spent 6hours cleaning the property ourselves. Could not contact anyone and later found out the reasoning was because they did not have enough staff to answer calls so calls just went unanswered. Was told this by the staff over the phone once someone made contact with us. Circuit on the main power board shorted out on the first night which meant we lost all airconditioning, internet,tv and only had power to one power point. when it rains the dining room ceiling leaks and you need to put a bucket under it or the water pools in the dining room. The pool was green and had to get maintenance to send someone and they found a t shirt stuck in the pool filter. Went to use the bbq on Saturday afternoon and the gas bottle was empty, also the 2 gas bottles in the gas heaters were also empty . The automatic gate also died on a first night so it did not work for the entire 7 night stay. Obviously who ever is paid to look after this rental is not checking the property at all. We have also taken photos of how we found the property and the issues it had in case anyone doubts that this review is not true. Will never use Stayz again.

Great family holiday

Beautiful property with excellent facilities. Spacious & well equipped. Many rooms to relax. Great paths in the area for bike riding. Great jetty for a boat.
