Historic villa & comfort in the biosphere reserve

In 2007 the architect's office Kirchner (Berlin) redesigned the villa on 2 floors (upper floor / upper floor 154 sqm) exclusively for guests. For 1-12 people, we offer the upper / upper floor as a self-contained unit with its own outside access with a total of 5 bedrooms.
Our holiday home is equipped with a large kitchen for optimal self-catering. All beds are hotel comfort box spring beds. The 3 bathrooms have a shower and toilet (1 bathroom with an additional bathtub). A 4th WC is available. The bathrooms are tiled to the ceiling and have marble floors. All other rooms are equipped with fine plaster ceilings and walls, object laminate floors and black-out window curtains. The living room offers a couch for 5 people. and a dining table for up to 10 people. (Additional dining table for 4 people in the kitchen in the visual axis).
We offer everything for booking from 1 night incl. Bed linen, towels, final cleaning and a flat rate for consumption costs. Pets are not allowed due to allergy inquirers.


In nature, for those seeking peace and quiet: The recognized resort of Vesser with approx. 215 inhabitants, 3 restaurants, the riding stable, the Vesser torrent, the protected biotopes, the Black Crux show mine, the well-kept hiking trails to the 10 ponds and the Vesser source the Vesser, to the Adlersberg lookout tower, to the forest bath filled with spring water ... offers healthy air at 700 m asl, rest and relaxation.

Many educational trails on fauna and flora are equipped with information boards and there is information about geology and former mining. The half-timbered church in Vesser also offers a permanent exhibition on these topics.
The Rennsteig (high-altitude hiking trail) is approx. 3 km from Vesser, as are the shops in Schmiedefeld on the Rennsteig.

You can explore the valley on a horse-drawn carriage or sleigh, but also on horseback, on skis, on a mountain bike or you can do it like the singer Herbert Roth (exhibition in Vesser) in his song 'I love to walk through the country on the Rennsteig. .. '

The low mountain range of the Thuringian Forest is ideal for sprightly seniors, as are our room facilities and families with small children who appreciate the bathtubs, highchairs and cots.
All of our guests appreciate the 4 paved, private car parking spaces and the courtyard area with chairs and tables.
And our Rennsteig runners are only 3 km away from Schmiedefeld am Rennsteig with the final festival of the annual Guts-Muths run.
Local festivals, the cinema world in Suhl and the zoo, the adventure swimming pool in Ilmenau, the indoor swimming pool in Suhl, the hunting weapon museum in Suhl, the Bertholdsburg in Schleusingen, Meiningen with the Elisabethenschloß and Bat-Klufthöhle, Ratscher reservoir with open-air shows, Weimar , Arnstadt and Erfurt.

The German House in Vesser, not far from your holiday home, also offers our guests breakfast. And the good Thuringian cuisine with game goulash and real Thuringian dumplings will spoil you for lunch and dinner. If you want fresh trout, the Waldgasthof in Vesser is also recommended and if you want coffee and cake, ice cream or cocktail, you can enjoy a great view of the gentle forested hills at the foot of the Adlerberg on the terrace of the Hotel Stutenhaus in Vesser.
A strengthening with Thuringian Rostbrätl´ and real Thuringian sausages is also available directly on the Adlersberg with the Adlersbergbaude.
