My wife and I stayed at the Am Schlossgarten for 2 nights during our trip around Germany. A very nice hotel with a very helpful staff. If you are arriving by train, it is across the street from Stuttgart HbF. Our room was very clean and roomy. The hotel is in a great location for walking around Stuttgart and there are many good restaurants within walking distance. For us, a huge bonus was a very modern, clean laundramat right around the corner from the hotel’s front door.

Location : 5/5, just opp to stuttgart stn Rooms : 5/5 spacious, excellent view, and evrything needed was made available. Staff : i would like to rate them 10 out of 5, yes i wrote it correct its 10 out of 5. Staff here are polite, knowledgebale, helpful, professional and friendly, i am secifically refering to the front desk staff nt sure abt their names. the handsome guy wid curved moustache and 2 beautiful girls. Who tried so hard helping me book my train ticket to paris All were very supportive and friendly. God bless these staff they are good asset to this hotel.

Perfect hotel for business purposes. Excellent staff. Extremely helpful at all levels from checking in, room service, restaurants, bar. This hotel has everything that you could possible need to make your business trip as comfortable as possible

Had a overnight stay at this hotel and it was very comfortable and upscale. Cafe was excellent as we had breakfast without spending a lot on the buffet. The bellman was also excellent and very helpful. Great location.

The hotel is located across from the train station making it very convenient especially if you plan on using the trains to do excursions outside of the city. It is also located directly next to their main shopping district with easy access to stores and restaurants and a short walk to historical sites and buildings. The room is well insulated from outside noise, we slept great and appreciated the attention to detail the hotel offered. The hotel staff is multi-lingual, extremely friendly and helpful with any questions or concerns. There is a restaurant and bar onsite along with other facilities available. Everything about this hotel shows a high level of quality and care for the guests. Rooms are nicely sized and furnished and there is plenty of room for luggage and spreading out, beds are extremely comfortable and the bathroom is great and has plenty of space. All the little personal amenities provided by the hotel are top quality and again show the high attention to detail toward the comfort of their guests.

We stayed in one of the larger suites in September, 2019, while visiting automobile museums in town. The room was over 600 euros per night, which included a breakfast buffet. The hotel is a tired building which has not kept pace with modern hotel amenities. In what was essentially the most expensive room in the hotel, there was no shower—only a rather crude attachment to the tub faucet that created a shower of sorts. There was no closet—only an old creaky armoire. It could have been charming but wasn’t. Drapes were old and didn’t come close to blocking out light when closed. We had a good sized separate living room, but the television didn’t work in that room and the furniture was dated. The air conditioner in the bedroom emitted a loud grinding noise that made sleeping there nearly impossible. We asked the front desk to have this fixed as we left the hotel on our first day there and they assured us that it would be fixed by the time we returned. It wasn’t and when we inquired about this their explanation was that the maintenance crew had checked and reported no issues. When we pushed a bit more and asked for a manager they finally dispatched a maintenance person who told us that he had explained to managment the day before that the A/C motor needed to be replaced and that this was a long messy project which could only be done with the room vacated. Apparently it didn’t occur to management to communicate this to us, most likely because the hotel was full and they preferred to have our euros rather than finding us suitable accommodations elsewhere. In the end they offered a reduction in the room rate and a sincere apology. On a more positive note the breakfast (and breakfast staff) were both excellent. If you’re considering a stay in Stuttgart it might be best to look elsewhere until this property has received a long overdue renovation.

Went there with my wife and kids to mainly ago around the mercedes and porche museum and made the right call to go to this fantastic hotel. A great hotel in all aspect. ALL the staff were very polite and attentive. The hotel also dont spare a moment to show hospitality gestures when it comes to room amenities (eg water bottles) and were very kind with the kids. Very clear the hotel has smart management team. We loved the breakfast terrace and the coffee shop at the garden. The location is second to none...on the koeing strassa (excuse my German!) which makes convenient for lunches, cafes and dinner. If you want to feel home when you are in Stuttgart, make sure you go to Althoff ASG hotel!

Prices don't match the offered service. The rooms are a bit faraway from the 5 stars standards. Overpriced breakfast, €33 per person for the quantity and quality is too much, Benedict Eggs are not included it costs extra 7,50€. The very best was the friendly staff and top Location.

Agreed, hotel ‚Althoff am Schlossgarten‘ won’t be listed among the latest design hotels but the customer service, attention to details and warmth certainly make up for rooms which are not 21st century style. Upon arrival, as a guest you are sincerely welcomed, staff makes an effort to remember names and each request is answered with a polite, service-orientated ‘yes’ . This pleasant experience continues during breakfast: staff will quickly remember your preferences, aims at entertaining also unusual requests and has an excellent service attitude. Enjoying breakfast from the balcony in summer - overlooking the park - is even better ;) As a ‘home away from home, Althoff am Schlossgarten is my ‘go to’ destination in Stuttgart.

This is a beautiful hotel with excellent service and lovely clean rooms and five star accommodations. We loved the terrace in the evening and the breakfast in the mornings and the food was beyond excellent. Stuttgart is a crazy chaotic city and this hotel was a welcome respite each evening from everything and we would highly recommend this hotel to all Americans
