The staff were very helpful and courteous. They stopped whatever they were doing to respond to our requests in a very timely manner. The problem is the facility needs updating and refurbishing. The main deficiency was the carpeting - it was worn very thin and soiled very deeply, making it almost impossible for the staff. They tried very hard and cleaned it to the best of their ability,. but it is just too far gone to make it presentable. It looked like some repainting had been done, but poorly.

Nothing fancy, but everything was fine. If you're looking for a basic affordable hotel near downtown Montpelier, this is a reasonable option. Room was clean and comfortable, beds were comfortable, heat and hot water were both good... fridge, microwave in room were good to have. Free wifi was fast enough. Staff were friendly and efficient. Included breakfast was basic, but nice to have... hard boiled & scrambled eggs, bagels, English muffins, oatmeal, cereal, sausage. Some parts of the facility showed wear and tear, couple use a few updates & repairs. If you're looking for luxury digs, this isn't your place. But for the price and location, it offers a basic decent place to stay in a town where there is little such accommodation close by, this is a good choice. I'd stay there again.

Upon checking in where the hotel staff didn't even greet us and said no more than "ID" and "sign here". The hotel looks very dated which would have been fine but upon entering our room there was a weird musty smell. The tub was dirty as was various parts of the room, cobwebs, spiders, hair from previous guests. It was quiet and we didn't have any other issues while here but don't think I would come back here. The gentleman who checked us out was very nice though.

Need to bulldoze the place. Parking horrible, smelled horrible, desk staff less than hospitable, etc..

People were absolutely lovely. Hotel a bit run down, but serviceable. Good value.

The man at the desk called management to let us bring our dog intot he hotel - against stated policy - whioch was welcome. $25 was worth it. But...

Nice friendly staff, decent for continental breakfast... Oatmeal, eggs, sausage, bagels, toast, eng muffins, fresh fruit. Well worth the money!

Old motel. Probably very nice when new. Needs updating. Needs elevator. Owners should buy lot next door, tear down the old building, and expand motel parking lot.

very clean staff very nice and helpful breakfast was good

The room smelled of smoking even though the entire motel is supposed to be smoke-free with $ 150.00 fine if caught. Parking was minimal and very hilly. Free breakfast area was very small and not enough space to the volume of people.

It was conveniently located, affordable, and the staff was very friendly. The breakfast was adequate, but not delicious. We only stayed one night, so it was perfect for our needs.

Motel staff were very helpful with local transportation, and food establishments. The rooms were clean, quiet, and restful. Excellent experience!!

We had a nice stay at this motel. They even had cheese and crackers in the lobby when we arrived. The breakfast was nice.

Although the hotel is certainly not new, they have tried to update it. There is an older odor and the carpet is not new. However, it appears to be the best deal in town for the money and certainly served my needs. They are friendly and facilitating. In addition, the free breakfast is an added luxury.

Very helpful staff. Great location to town center.

There arn't many options around town so we picked this one. Was a little over priced and run down but we really only slept in the room.

Basic hotel. Rooms were spacious (bathroom was small). No frills, but does the trick when you want to sleep and eat cheap.

Considering lack of options near Montpelier, it is adequate for overnight stay.
