Victory Hotel

Wonderful, with lots of charm

Not your vanilla cookie cutter big box hotel, but something with real charm. Has a nautical theme and is bang in the old town (Gamla Stan) which makes it convenient. Stayed with my wife and 2 young kids and couldn't be more pleased. If you can, get the Captain's luxury suite (room109) - its huge, beautifully decorated and more than big enough for a family of 4. And the jacuzzi in the bathroom is a lot of fun with kids. Highly recommended!

Scandic Continental

A Treasure of a Hotel

A friend and I booked a three day stay at the Scandic Continental while visiting Stockholm recently. From beginning to end, our stay was absolutely wonderful. The hotel has the perfect location, directly across from Stockholm Central station. Check-in was a breeze and the hotel immediately felt like home, with candles and fresh flowers all over the lobby. Our room was clean. contemporary, and warm. The breakfast buffet that was included in our stay was excellent. Lots of fresh fruit, different varieties of swedish breads and jams, a crepe station, a yogurt station, an oatmeal station, plus the staples of eggs, sausage, and bacon. There was a clear appreciation for healthy offerings, with fresh juices (including rosehip!). All of the staff, including check-in, wait staff, and housekeeping were friendly and helpful. Thank you for such a wonderful stay!

Scandic Malmen

Good stay but no parking

The only bad part was that you have to park your car at a pay lot that is underground. For some reason in the mornings, the door leading down to the garage was locked. This forced you to walk down many stairs and around the road to get to the entrance. This was a pain with luggage and very inconvenient with rain and snow.
