Low level of service, rather a doityourself type of place! No minibar in the room. Rooms extremly small, bathroom measures approx 1.5 sqm, not even a normal standard sink fits in!!!! Despite: high price! Breakfast room is for max 30% of the capacity, and seats are very close to each other!
Nice stay at Scandic Malmen, Stockholm. We were well taken care of in the hotel restaurant at Friday night where we enjoyed a family dinner. We really had a good time. The rooms were what we expected, perhaps a little warm. Breakfast was fine.
I stayed two nights. The first room which I had was a size of a closet and the sewer stunk so bad that the first night was a disaster. Also the bathroom wasn't cleaned after the previous customer. After a complaint I received a new room (very nice suite) so the personnel took me seriously and acted fast and accordingly. Big thanks for this. I just wondered why a Topfloor member was put into such a room in the first place.
We booked this hotel as were arriving late so were looking for something close to a train station that was not too pricey yet modern and comfortable, and this hotel fit that criteria nicely. The room seemed to have everything we needed but was on a lower floor so no window or atmosphere there. The bathroom was nice and large, the room and bed comfortable. The wi-fi was good and all service we received was fast, friendly and efficient. The main thing missing from the room was water bottles which would have been nice (although there seemed to be ice in the corridor for the guests). The breakfast was good, but could have provided a bit more variety. The location was close to supermarkets and some great cafes - the bike themed one down the road is great for coffee! There is a train station literally outside the door and we were even able to easily walk to the larger train station within minutes.
I staid for two nights at the hotel during the week on 4th floor. On both nights I could hear loud music and noice from the street until around midnight. Further, there was no ham or bacon at the breakfast buffe.
The hotel was very nice and the room where me and my three friends slept, was amazing. There was a livingroom and three bedrooms. The livingroom was decorated nicely and in every bedroom there were a 32" tv and a nice bed. Bathroom was big and there were big bathtub, shower and toilet.
The hotel is situated right on the metro station Medborgarplatsen, which makes it really easy to jump on the metro and straight into the centre and Gamla Stan. You can also walk to quite a lot of places if you like. I asked for the standard room with a desk, which has a window and a place in which to hang up your clothes. The room was fairly compact, but it was clean and I had everything I needed. I was not a fan of the black shower curtain in the bathroom as I found it a little claustrophobic. The breakfast buffet was very well stocked and there was plenty of food to satisfy all tastes. It is held in the bar, which is also very nice and vibrant at night. I did hear some music noise at night but it was not enough to keep me awake. Nearby are plenty of restaurants and shops.
I've always gotten excellent service at this great establishment. Always great personnel, great rooms, good food and perfectly close to everything one could need. Thank you for accommodating me once again.
Hotel is located literally on top of a metro station and several bus stops. Good breakfast and nicely decorated rooms. Personnel of the hotel is really nice and helpful. Bathroom is way too small though...
Cheap furniture, "style" of a (bad) youth hostel room. Silent? Yes, from traffic but still the air condition was noisy! A cabin room without windows could be made into a comfortable sleeping room. But this was not the case! :-(
