So this hotel is a good distance from the city center. It’s about a two mile walk to City Center and about 4 miles from Gamla Stan (Old Town) where most of the cool sights and things are. The best way to get to the hotel from the airport is the Flygbussarna, it is a shuttle bus that goes from the airport, has a stop a block from the hotel, and continues to the city center. The price is about $10 each way, per person. This is cheaper than the Arlanda Express, the train which goes from the airport direct to city center for $20 per person, then having to backtrack 2 miles. Returning to the airport, the Flygbussarna can be caught on the corner across the street from the hotel. There is a little grocery store on the corner just past the hotel. The hotel itself is a little dated. Apparently some of the rooms have been updated, but not mine. Shower made a mess of water all over the floor. Visited the gym which is on the 8th floor during their slow remodel. The equipment is also outdated and limited, but functional. The best part about this hotel is the breakfast. Good selection of breakfast foods. Normally only eat breakfast and dinner on trips. We walked 10+ miles each day so the breakfast kept us going throughout the day. Staff was friendly overall a dm gave recommendations for sights. Personally, I would recommend the Vasa Museum and Stockholm Cathedral which is located next to the Palace.
I selected this hotel for downtown convenience. The price was expensive for the size of the room. The room had no window, was boxy and had no air conditioning. The mattress was too hard but they did fit a softer cover on request. The breakfast bar had a good range of food but small details such as a lack of hot water and lots of uncleared empty tables were ignored. The bar next door was excellent and I was able to order food before 10 pm and also take it to my room. The irony was that room service finishes at 9 pm which is way to early. All in all a lot of money for what you don't get.
Clean and cozy room with comfortable bed. Good view and so delicious breakfasts. Good location, not so close to the centre (almost 3km), but as for me it’s perfect. Very quite area with many shops, restaurants etc.
The hotel was great. I have been there four nights and enjoyed the room and the breakfast very much. The weather was hot but the airconditner did it's job well. I will defantly recommend this place for friends.
We had a lovely stay att Elite Palace. The first impression was super nice, friendly staff and beautiful room. The breakfast was also very good even though it was a bit tight with space sometimes. But overall a super stay, we will come back!
We stayed at the Elite Palace from May 24 - June 2, 2018 and everyone we met in Sweden said it wa the hottest week on record. The hotel was lovely. They do not have air conditioning but didn't need it. There is a cord on the window that can be removed and the window opens up really wide. The cool night air was lovely. Our room was very large (some are smaller but ours was huge) Shower has great pressure and the bath was deep enough to soak on. You have to be careful of the handheld shower though. Sometimes it has a mind of its own but not usually. The beds are very comfortable. I have neck and back pain and has no problem with the bed or pillows. The hotel is close enough to walk everywhere. We walked 6-15 miles a day and saw all the sightseeing sights, went to business meetings, and had plenty of food options. The breakfast is AMAZING!! I had associated staying at the Scandic 53 and they enjoyed their breakfast, but it didn't come close to the quality at the Elite Palace. There is so much food, and it is all delicious. FYI they do not do salt. Couldn't find it anywhere, not even in the restaurants. They like healthy food. There was even enough food to make sandwiches which we out in our backpacks and tool with us that way disnt have to buy lunch as well. There at smears and salad stuff, fruit, all kinda of bread and rolls, eggs bacon, sausages, baked beans, 4 types of yoghurt, fruit of all.kinds, grains and cereals, porridge, juice, etc. It is also VERY close to the Flybussarna station. I would definitely stay here again.
A hotell whitout air condition!!! Book another hotell. Rooms are small but othervise ok. Bathroom are nice but small But still no air condition and it’s hard to sleep when it is 45 degress in the room.
We were 5 nights at the hotel. We booked a room without window and it was ok. The room is comfortable with a closet with only one shelf but sufficient to keep the luggage inside. The breakfast is very good. The staff is service oriented, very helpful. The hotel is very close to the bus station to and from Arlanda Airport. The metro is 7 minutes by walk. I would recommend to stay in this hotel.
Excellent location in the center of city. Excellent access to transportation. Roomy rooms..comfortable bedding. Clean. Very good buffet for breakfast. Nice atmosphere. The Bishops Pub is located here..very nice.
Check in was friendly and efficient. My room was of a reasonable size and was comfortable. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. There is a nice pub / bar connected to the hotel which serves a wide range of beers, lagers and ales and also serves food.
