A hotel to sleep at, nothing more or less. The front desk personnel are good and the rooms are clean, but the beds are terrible and the breakfast is below average. The big question, would I book a room at elite palace hotel again? The answer is no, I want more than just a bench to sleep on.
Friendly staff and overall a perfect stay Perfect location just 5 minutes to the train station Odenplan and just 1 minute to Stockholm city. Just 5 minutes to Flygbuss stop from the hotel. Lovely beds and bathtub in the bathroom.
Stayed in a superior double room for 3 nights and really enjoyed the breakfast and the softness or the beds. The room was spacious and clean. We also used the hotel’s basement car park which was extremely convenient. I think the location is really excellent if you drive so it’s near the city center and also easy for side trips. Just 2 feedback to management: The first day we used the car park was no issue with a very helpful staff. On the second day, we had some trouble with the speaker system so we had to go to the reception and we were told with some frustration that we didn’t respond. However, we actually couldn’t hear anytime so perhaps Management could check the system again. I suppose giving hotel guests who uses the car park some orientation can make things easier too. Another small matter was our used glasses weren’t washed after housekeeping. We in fact had it rinsed after used and left it in the toilet for the convenience of housekeeping. For some reason, the glasses were still there after the rooms were cleaned.
First and foremost the hotel staff are great - ever helpful and friendly. Hotel has a good location - some restaurants around it plus a supermarket. The subway station is about 15 minutes away. Room has the necessary amenities. What I liked about the bathroom is the heated towel racks. Truly a good way to start the morning is sample their buffet breakfast. They offer a wide the array of food to chose from. Added plus is the pleasant atmosphere of the dining area.
This small hotel makes an excellent deal for solo or family visits to Stockholm. Its rooms have good size, are brand new, with new bathrooms, extremely clean and well kept. It offers free buffet breakfast in a very scandinavian atmosphere. The hotel is located 4 blocks from the Metro station, although a new station will open in 2018 that is just 2 blocks away. The bus to and from the airport can also be taken at half a block from the entrance of the hotel, making it very convenient and cheap to travel back and forth the airport. The neighborhood is clean, nice and very quiet, and at the same time, has multiple options for restaurants, all of very good quality. Taking the bus to other destinations can be a 4-6 blocks walk. This hotel was perfect for our family trip.
Room was quite compact but comfortable, with mini bar, iron + board, Central Heating and quite comfortable bed. Bathroom was a bit tight but fine. Could not hear neighbours, or street noise, so well soundproofed. Breakfast was very good. A large selection of items, hot and cold and plenty of tables too. Location wise, it takes about 25 minutes walk to the Arlanda Express (airport train) with a small amount of luggage. Same walk to get to a busy area of restaurants and theatres etc. Overall a good stay, for a short business trip.
Great location, friendly staff, good service and clean. Only complaint, they need warmer duvets, I can't sleep with the heating on so I was frozen all night : ( Great pub next door, perfect dish and chips : )
The bathroom is too old, the plywood is peeling of the door and. The ventilation could not be turned off and was very noisy. Poor room service which did not answer phone calls. Actually there is no room service, but a phone number which directly goes to the next door restaurant. It took several phone calls to the reception to get a meal. First they recommended me to go to the restaurant instead of making use of the room-service. Actually, the point of calling room service for diner is to stay in the room, no?
The hotel is ok though room are small and basic. Got an upgrade that has a bigger room. The bed is too soft and no water or minibar in the room The staff is very nice and carefull. The hotel is close to the office otherwise i would not have gone there
After our Baltic cruise, we had booked this hotel for 3 days.. At the reception the guy asked me room with or without a bathtub, I answered him with a tub. He handed the keys and we were off to the room. The room was a posh tiny space, mostly everything needed being there. But the bathroom was even more tinier.. And the worst just happened, the bathroom did not have a bathtub even after the guys at the reception asked me, I said yes!!. Since, we were very tired, my wife and me decided to hell with the tub, lets just dose off. Later, the bathroom turned a nightmare.. Stockholm is like a mecca for interior design.. but I guess they don't design bath rooms very well... just above the WC was a towel hanger.. So every time one who would sit on the WC and get-up would get hit by this stupid hanger.. the wash basin in the bathroom was smaller than a kids potty seat.. over it was a humongous mirror.. lined on each side of the mirror were huge series of light bulbs.. so anybody who looks at the mirror should get blind... Worst bathroom experience ever.. The bed was comfy.. Breakfast at the hotel was awesome.. thats why three stars.. Sop at least the room which I had was sort of Elite, but the bathroom was pathetic..
