Very small rooms and bathrooms. Veering on shabby. Good smorgasbord breakfast.

Good, above average. There was no heat in the room and the bathroom which was a bit of an inconvenience because it is winter, you know... they have me a space heater which was nice of them. All well worth it because otherwise it's a good hotel in a perfect location. Very good bar downstairs.

It was very pretty, well furnished and a great location. The front desk was also very helpful in getting around and confirming dinner reservations for us.

This was a cute hotel with a great location. The room was nothing fancy, but it was spacious enough compared to other European hotels. Just remember it has no A/C, which can mean your little room is like an oven during the unusually warm summer days they've been having.

Our stay at the First Riesen was nice. The breakfast buffet in the morning was absolutely wonderful. I would stay here again just for the breakfast. The staff at the bar/restaurant were not very pleasent. They were not welcoming and during a evening stop in the bar for a nightcap they did not even come to wait on us. They did wait other tables but not ours. The drinks are very expensive. If you are looking to just have a drink go somewhere else. A larger bar soap would be nice, also the rooms could use some TLC. Other than that it is a great location to get to other restaurants, shops and transportation.

The hotel is very close to central station, the room is clean and comfortable.

Staff were friendly and courteous. Will go again.Short walk to the shops and dining. In the center of stockholm. Short distance to the airport. About 30 minutes.

Great Location, Very nice staff, wonderful breakfast, OK workout room, and amazing Sauna and Cold Dunk Bath! Most rooms are a bit small, just space for a bed and table. Having said that, the front facing rooms which are a little more expensive, look over the river and are really fantastic because of the view. If you are not staying in a front facing room, ask for a larger room on the 3rd floor. These are much nicer than most of the small side facing rooms and the same price. I would stay there again, but stay in either the larger room or the front facing room.

I have nothing but praise for this hotel. Steps away from the bus line that can connect you to the subway/train lines to go anywhere in the city and its suburbs. Pleasant, helpful staff. Clean. beautiful views from the waterview rooms. Breakfast buffet is bounteous. We ate in the restaurant in the evening, were pleased.

Desk personnel fabulous. Location in the Old town across from river, 2 blocks from the Palace was great. Room comfortable but very small. Large breakfast provided. Neat pool and sauna in sub basement in vaulted room but cold (67 degrees).

Centralized location in Old Town is perfect as a homebase for sight-seeing. Lovely breakfast buffet, helpful staff. Cozy rooms on the small size for americans, but very clean. Upgraded from an alley-view to a water-view which was beautiful & worth it for us. Street noise wasn't too bad and bar is noisy on weekends, so request 4th floor or higher. Overall, highly recommended and wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Loved the old city charm,a block away from the Royal Palace with a good breakfast and dinner. Also included a sauna and small pool indoors with a small exercise facility. The staff all spoke very good english and were very helpful.Highly recommend it for the price.

This hotel had a small but adequate room and free wi-fi. It was a whole block away from Gamla Stan and the Palace. Parking was a hassle but, the hotel offered an overnight parking service. Extensive breakfast as well

GREAT service and location in Gamla Stan. it was an abnormally hot week and lack of air conditioning and noisy traffic made it difficult to stay cool at nights. The traffic noise was because i had asked for an upgrade in order to get a wonderful sea view, so the noise was self inflicted

Wonderful Hotel. Wonderful Location. Excellent Rooms. Fabulously friendly Staff and good breakfast. Only problem was NO air conditioning during the hot summer months and they were having a heat wave. Room had a sauna in it! Upgrades were very inexpensive. LOVED this hotel - just wish it had been cooler weather so the lack of A/C would not have mattered.

Good

great location in old town - close to all sites.

Thank you for your feedback upon your visit. Unfortunately we had a break down in a water pipe which we did not understand at the beginning it was affecting heating in some rooms. Drawings are a huge challenge in a building of this age. We would like to thank you for being so understanding and hope to see you back soon again. Best Regards
