Everything worked out well. The room itself was perfect. There was a bit of a musty smell in the hall but not the room so all was great. Very convenient to shops around and close enough to Penn State campus and downtown that I’d recommend this as an option.

Like a previous review, I read, it was very damp smelling in the room. It is what you pay for. I would not expect much other than a roof over your head. The staff was pleasant. It had obviously gone through many renovations over the years. The property was a little confusing when you went out one door and tried to walk around the front. No sidewalks. Ended up walking in the grass.

Cheap stay as a last resort

The room looked clean. Remote was so gross I put a bag over it to use it. The smell was horrible like wet moldy rug. Everything else looked was ordered and clean. No complimentary water you had to pay $1. Breakfast was good. No coffee machine in room or microwave. At night it felt like there was a party at my window. I couldn't see anyone put side so the walls must be thin because it was loud si 11pm. Didn't interact with staff. The guy that gave me the keys was professional. The lady that took over started at me instead of asking me whatever.

After my stay I had to contact staff regarding an item left behind. They were open, warm and very accommodating. The item was located and shipped expediently. This interaction far exceeded expectations. I am so thankful for their customer service.

Don’t expect much

The 70’s want their decor back! If this were a budget friendly hotel, I’d be more understanding. But the thin worn out bedspreads and 70’s Orange colors, 25 watt light bulbs in the room, watered down coffee and day old danish for breakfast, hardly justified the $130 cost. Also and my strongest criticism is that the place including the room had residual cigarette smell.

When I first checked in they gave me a room key, emtered the room and it wasn't clean. The beds weren't made and the bathroom was used. When i went back down the front desk associate gave me a different key to another room. Upon entering the room i found two twin beds instead of the king I booked. I had to return to the front desk a second time. Turns out they changed my reservation wjthout notigifying me. Overall bad experience
