We stopped at the Carnegie Inn when business brought me to the State College area. We wanted something different than the "suites" hotel experience and we found it at this Inn. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was wonderful. We are looking forward to a return visit.

I travel extensively in the Fall- 48 hotel nights since September 10. The Carnegie INN and Spa was the best hotel I have stayed in. The moment you walk in, the staff- in this case Inica, make you feel like a very valued guest. The room was superb- I had a King bed. The cuisine is excellent- both my supper and breakfast were delicious. I was so happy to find this property and I look forward to the next time I pass through the Happy Valley! Don’t even hesitate to books here! Thank you Inica and the rest of the staff!

My friend and I stayed at this awesome place for the PSU parent/family weekend. Book early! The place was everything we expected and more! The rooms are very spacious and beautifully furnished. Wonderful to relax and unwind after spending the day/evening running around. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The location is great too. They have a charming bar/restaurant with a patio & garden to enjoy the outdoors if the weather permits. We did find after checking out that a cooked-to-order breakfast was included. That would've topped off a perfect stay!

My small crew and I stayed at the Carnegie when we were in town shooting a commercial for PSU. The staff was unbelievably personable and attentive, and the hotel itself is packed with character and feels more like a B and B. The setting is lovely, quiet and very well maintained. This will definitely be my first call if I return to State College!

What a surprise find trying a new hotel in the State College area. Beautiful setting off the beaten path but close to highway, stores and Penn State. Rooms are appointed like a high end hotel with an affordable cost. I did not try the restaurant, but will be sure to on my next stay.

Check in was nice and quick, Our room was spacious and well appointed. The grounds are beautiful, will definitely stay here next visit. And a nice surprise was a full breakfast, cooked to order, was included each morning of our stay.

This may be the nicest inn in which we have ever stayed. The location is scenic, the inn is lovely, the rooms are large and quiet and the restaurant and bar are old fashioned, relaxing and the service and food are extraordinarily outstanding. Kudos to Ken the steward for being so friendly, service oriented and showing us such a lovely time!

We travel to State College regularly to visit family and sometimes for business. The Carnegie is the only place we stay now. Inica at the front desk and Anita in the dining room were especially helpful and friendly during our last trip. We travel a lot but rarely see the sort of personal attention that we get at the Carnegie. We have never stayed in a room we didn't like, so no advice about which room to request. All rooms are well decorated and very quiet. The hotel is like a rufuge when we travel. We can't wait to return.

Front desk lady on the morning of August 27th declined to help with luggage even though she was not busy and I told her my brother's foot was injured (hairline fracture). When I asked her to help, she told me - "it will be me" and let it hang in the air as if waiting for me to rescind the request. I'm not sure if she had an injury or something but it certainly sounded like she was too good to help out. When I insisted, she asked the busy kitchen hand, who was in the middle of breakfast service, to help out. In the end, we just made multiple luggage trips. The pool also had the cover on without explanation during hours it was supposed to be open. The hotel was otherwise consistent with its 4 star rating.

We had a great weekend at Carnegie Inn & Spa. The hotel and grounds are beautiful and the service is excellent. The staff was attentive to all of our needs. The room was huge, clean, and very attractive and comfortable. We would definitely stay here on our next trip to State College.
