FUN AT THE LAKE

Lovely comfortable house on a nice lake. Grandparents and parents and on teen enjoyed the clean lake with toys and swimming. Host was very responsive. House is great size for two families.

Beautiful and quiet house on the lake

I was here during a holiday weekend, and I was happy to find that the lake remained quiet. Nestled in the woods along the shore of the lake, this gorgeous house has so many comfortable rooms to spend time in. Food and other amenities are just a short distance away.

Best weekend escapades in 3 years!!

We’re bunch of friends from Madagascar and this is the first time we rented a house this pretty. We so much needed a break from the city of Seattle and from work. This place is so comfortable we all felt like home. Definitely coming back!! :)

Best Lake House!

Stayed 2 nights. Property was gorgeous, clean and comfortable. Tons of nostalgia in the living room, most comfortable, beautiful chairs ever! I read for hours in there with the stunning lake as a backdrop.Even though this property allows pets you'd never know, not a single animal hair in sight.Hot tub was relaxing and clean. Sauna was also top notch. Property owner worked with us on a couple of our eccentricities/requests including an hour early check in.Lots of very clear instructions both before check in and throughout the house which made caring for this beautiful place a breeze, owner was very responsive at all times to all questions.We highly recommend and wouldn't hesitate to book again for our next getaway!

Beautiful Lake House

We were so happy with our choice. The home was more beautiful and comfortable than we had hoped. The lake was beautiful, complete with a hot tub, finish sauna and a fire pit. A beautiful setting. We were able to have our dog with us. We all felt like we were at home. The house was exceptionally clean and extremely well stocked!!! The kitchen was amazing and we enjoyed cooking together. The owners responded to our questions immediately, we were well taken care of. Would stay here again!

We've stayed in many VRBOs (and similar rentals), and we do so mostly because it allows us a full kitchen and shared living space. Unfortunately, this VRBO did not provide the latter. There was a very small secluded living area with delicate furniture, not fit for the two 6' 4" men with us. So we were left sitting around the dining table on uncomfortable wooden chairs. For that reason alone, I couldn't recommend this property to anyone wanting to spend time connecting with distant friends and family.But there were also other oddities. There's a sign requesting you take off your shoes when you enter, yet they allow pets? We found that confusing. The motor on the hot tub is sooooo loud in the master bedroom and on the deck, but we were told that it wasn't recommended guests turn it off. The garbage disposal didn't work, which made kitchen clean-up more difficult.Our take-away, however, are the pictures of the 40 notes left around the home, ranging from "you can use this bowl to hold trinkets" to "don't damage the hot tub because it requires a crane to replace." It was a lot to take in and made it feel less like borrowing someone's house and more like invading my grandmother's home.Bottom line: I don't think this home should be rented. It is clear that the owner has an incredible sentimental attachment to it, so it'd be better to just loan it to family and friends they trust.

Horrible interaction with owner

I’m extremely disappointed with our experience at this VRBO rental. My daughter and her fiancé stayed here to be close to their wedding venue, but the day of the wedding turned into a nightmare. Their bedroom door shut, and they were locked out. Instead of being at the venue getting hair and makeup done, they were stuck dealing with this issue. When we couldn’t reach the owner, Julia, my daughter called a locksmith, wasting valuable time on her wedding day. When I finally got in touch with Julia, her response was unhelpful. She said, "There’s a doorstop, so I don’t know why they closed the door," making it seem like she knew there was an issue. She then suggested opening the door with a credit card—something my daughter had no idea how to do. Julia eventually contacted her housekeeper, who arrived before the locksmith. To my daughter’s surprise, the housekeeper said, "You can cancel the locksmith, I’ve had to do this several times before; I know how to open the door." Clearly, this was a known issue. The housekeeper used a credit card and a knife to unlock the door, but when it accidentally closed again, she had to repeat the process. To make matters worse, nearly four weeks later, Julia tried to charge me an unlock fee! It’s outrageous to be charged for an issue that was clearly her responsibility. Closing a door shouldn’t be an ordeal. I would not recommend this rental to anyone looking for a hassle-free stay.
