H2O Eco Villa

H2O Eco Villa is located in the gated community of Sprat Bay on beautiful Water Island in the USVI (the 4th official US Virgin Island since December 12, 1996!). Just a 10 minute ferry ride from Crown Bay Marina in St. Thomas (5 minute car ride from the St. Thomas airport), you can step into your Caribbean dream. Conceptualized and built by Haitian architect and artist, Sacha Thebaud. H2O Eco Villa prides itself on remaining 90% off the grid thanks to the 40 thousand gallon cistern beneath the house, Tesla power walls to store solar energy, independent septic, and an induction stovetop.

As you enter the villa, you are greeted by an open concept where the ceiling soars to over 18 feet above the main level in a room that is over 3000 square feet with more than 600 square feet dedicated to an indoor tropical garden. The screened section of roof above the tropical garden allows rain to water the garden, another unique feature of the villa (Don't worry! It doesn't rain in the whole house!!!) Once you have taken all that in, you can take in the stunning views of Charlotte Amalie (the capitol of St. Thomas), Hassel Island and the Caribbean Ocean.

Once the shock subsides you will find 2 King suites each with its own full bath and A/C. There is also a washer and dryer as well as a queen-sized Murphy bed next to a half bath. Combine all this with a well equipped kitchen, 3 decks (one for ultimate privacy, one for cooking on the BBQ and eating, and the last one up top for the most stunning views and possibly yoga!) which each provide a unique view, and a beach toy closet packed with fun items to make the most of Honeymoon beach! You may also enjoy a game of tennis and/or a more private beach day by visiting the Sprat Bay tennis court and beach, only accessible to owners in the community and their guests (that includes you!)

Eric & Kelly. Thank you so much for our stay in your beautiful home last week. I am not sure that we couldn't have had a better time. For myself, Kathy, Heidi & David, this house was perfect spot for us allowing us to enjoy the beauty of Water Island from views and experiences. Having Sprat Bay available to us was an added bonus. Additionally, having Nick & Abby to assist us when needed was awesome. You are lucky to have them. Both were super nice to us and having Nick taking care of our provisions made our vacation time very relaxing. Based on this last week we will certainly be looking to return again at some point.

Quiet and peaceful with a special bonus: a cat that came to visit!

The property is unique with a beautiful indoor landscape! The house was clean, the kitchen well equipped and an amazing view. Millie responded to any questions we had and is absolutely delightful. It is very quiet and peaceful on the island and we got around in a golf cart. There is a darling cat that came to visit everyday.

You gotta know if you’re VRBO has sharp knives and great cook wear that every detail has been thought of. H20 is an amazing property, with an incredible view into Charlotte Amalie and Havensight. We had a wonderful experience staying at the H2O Eco Villa. The house manager (Nick) met us off the ferry and guided us to the house. He provided us all the details and was available to answer all our questions through our stay via text. Nick was also able to pickup (for a fee) our food and drink we ordered from St. Thomas stores and stocked the items at the house before we arrived which was a fantastic service as there are very little options on the island. The house is in a private community which also has a private beach that felt like our own for much of our stay. The views from the house are amazing as well as the privacy based on its location. The house has open-air flows with an indoor garden that allows rain through the screened-open roof. During the day the house tends to warm up, but there were plenty of fans for air circulation as well as constant breezes keeping the air flow. The airconditioned bedrooms were great for sleeping after a great day at the beach and exploring on the island. There are multiple decks for sunbathing, dining, enjoying afternoon cocktails or stargazing in the evening. The ferry system for travel over to St. Thomas is very easy to use for those looking to shop or dine out. A golf cart rental is required on water island and getting around the island is very easy on the carts. .

H20 Water Island

This house is one of the greatest experiences we have ever had. The photos do it no justice. It is so much larger and more beautiful than they show. During the day it is a breezy paradise. The indoor atrium and the breeze that run through the house instantly gives you a great Caribbean feel. Bright and so well laid out open floor plan. The kitchen is huge and very well equipped. The entire house has so many amenities that aren’t even listed. Millie is the best host you can hope for. Her southern charm and welcoming attitude makes you feel instantly welcomed and like you are an instant part of the island. At night the house completely changes into a part of the scenery. Any one of the many decks at night or just staring out the giant windows that overlook Hassel island and St. Thomas offer amazing views. The gentle heartbeat of St. Thomas breezes over the ocean and is just an unexplainable feeling. The house is great for a single couple or multiple couples. H2O is so private feeling. What a great overall experience.

We were lucky enough to find H2O when we were planning our stay in Water Island. Waking up to that view every morning never gets old. Most days sunny, but even on the two cloudy mornings the view is breathtaking. The house could not be better equipped, everything I looked for was there. There isn't one kitchen tool or appliance that was lacking. Millie is hands down the best host. She was always available to answer any questions, even on her birthday! Such a lovely lady. Honeymoon beach is beautiful, fun, mostly not crowded with the exception of the cruise ship excursion boats, but thankfully those guests only stay for about an hour. Fun to people watch. There's nothing to do, and so much to do! The island residents are so friendly and we enjoyed meeting so many. Heidi's Hilltop not only serves the best food, there's bingo on Saturdays! But our favorite thing about our stay at H2O is definitely Barbara, our vacation cat. She won us over and is the sweetest girl. Miss her already! We will be back next year, god willing!
