Renaissance St. Petersburg Baltic Hotel

This hotel is located right in the heart of the city by the cathedral of St. Isaac. This location is very convenient for both leisure and business stays. Check-in was fast and efficient. My suite was somewhat small but very cozy and pleasant. It had a separate living room, bedroom and a sizable bathroom. The room was modern, renovated and had a local charm at the same time. Their lobby bar is a good place for a drink or catching up with work. The breakfast area is small and was very crowded. The food choices were also very limited. I think their breakfast is definitely an area for improvement especially for the hotel of this category. In a mean time there are many breakfast options just outside of the hotel. Service in the hotel was excellent. Overall this is a solid option for business and leisure stays in the city center.

A serviceable effort from Renaissance, just around the corner from the massive gold-domed St Isaac’s (ex-)Cathedral. The Hermitage is a km away. The hotel rooms are spacious and beds comfortable. Only one restaurant with a modest range of standard dishes. Renovations during my stay were an impediment. Wifi fine, but repeated sign-ins an unnecessary irritation. Falling rain very loud on the tin roof outside my window! Staff are efficient and polite.

Conveniently located near many tourist destinations. Professional and friendly staff and service throughout the hotel. Concierge staff was very helpful during our stay including checking with our train tickets. Excellent breakfast buffet for the price as well. Well equipped gym for the size of the hotel.

If you can get past the dated rooms, which others have mentioned and we didn’t mind, then this hotel is a great choice. We found the staff friendly and helpfully with excellent English spoken by many. The breakfast was standard and well made with a chef on hand to make fresh eggs to order. We loved the location. It’s only a 15 minute walk to the Hermitage and less to several great restaurants - try Jerome for dinner and Bonch for lunch or coffee. The hotel is on a quiet street but just off a main boulevard. There is a grocery store to the left as you exit the hotel. city tip: the buses are cheap and easy but for longer trips, or groups of 3, use uber.

Had a nice 5 day stay here while my husband was on business. The hotel was under some front foyer renovation and it was sometimes awkward, but staff were very accommodating. Efficient check-in and the concierge was excellent at arranging two excellent day trips. Rooms are large by European standards and very clean. Breakfast was fine with a multitude of choices. There was an omelette station, but I was put off by the chef not using utensils but her hands to pick up the cheese/mushrooms, etc. Other than that, we even had a drink and appetizers there one evening - other than the pounding techno-music, the food and atmosphere good. I would not recommend this hotel (or St Petersburg for that matter) for the elderly or handicapped. There were many tripping hazards and uneven or slick flooring. No railings when you come in the front entrance. Even the shower in our room took a long legged person to get in/out. The shower water was also uneven in heat/cold. Day time was a bit noisy with construction on the upper floors. Other than that it's access to Heritage and St Isaac's Square was very convenient. The restaurant across the street was also fabulous

Nice hotel in very central location close to Hermitage Museum and St Isaac's Cathedral. Would be even better if it had spa facilities as a hotel of this quality needs one. Very helpful check-in staff and lovely spacious rooms.

I stayed at Renaissance St Petersburg for two nights during my business trip in Russia. Hotel is located in the heart of St Petersburg, only short walking distance to the winter palace and main shopping street. It is very easy to access to most of major attractions in the city. Hotel is a historical building but rooms has been renovated. Some renovation work is still going on. I was upgraded to a suite room with two floors. Office and lounge on the ground and upstairs is the bedroom, bathroom and luggage room. Bed is very comfortable, bathroom is pretty good. There is another seperate toilet downstairs as well. Wifi is free and working really well. Service is fantastic. Front desk staff are amazing. Check in and check out are so quick, staff are pleasant, professional and very helpful. Breakfast is in the lobby, very small area behind the lobby bar. Food is really good and staff again are very helpful friendly and professional. Coffee latte is really nice, fruits are really fresh and tasty. It was a wonderful stay, I will definitely come back to this hotel in the future.

This hotel in centrally located with a beautiful view overlooking the cathedral. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the breakfast is decent. One thing I especially enjoyed was the restaurants around it and the fact that many attractions and beautiful sights were at a walking distance.

The hotel is about 30 minutes away from Pulkovo airport by Taxi. The location is great as it is walking distance from many sights. It is located next to st isaacs cathedral and near the hermitage. Walking to Nevsky prospekt will take about 15 minutes. The rooms were spacious and clean. The breakfast spread was ok but a plus point is that they serve Russian champagne! Staff were friendly and speak English. Would recommend this hotel.

I stayed at this property for 3 nights while in St. Petersburg. The property is centrally located a stone throw's away from major sites. Since occupancy was low and being a Gold member for Marriott rewards, they gave me an upgrade to a suite. The room had 2 floors a living area and a bedroom upstairs. It had 2 bathrooms though the one downstairs was just a powder room and the upstairs one was a full bathroom. Amenities were good, the basics were covered. Breakfast spread was great. I pretty much walked to all the major sites without a problem apart from the bitter cold of winter. Though Russia is equally as beautiful in the winter as it is in the summer. Would stay at this property again and highly recommend it.
