Radisson Royal Hotel, St. Petersburg5.0 out of 5.0

We visited St. Petersburg and stayed at the Radisson Royal Hotel, which was great. What we really liked was its location. There were a lot of places to see within walking distance, which proved to be a great way to explore the area. Our hotel room was quite comfortable. The bathroom didn't match up to the room though (in terms of decor/size), but was well equipped with toiletries. The housekeeping staff was friendly. The b'fast is quite elaborate. Was perhaps the first time I tried fresh Caviare and Champagne for breakfast...... I guess a must to in Russia (but for breakfast, it was my first). The hotel is located at a busy intersection, so its quite a landmark. The building is gorgeous and we highly recommend staying here. We stayed here for a week so explored quite a lot and ate some fabulous Mediterranean / Italian and Georgian cuisine. The people were friendly and the city is gorgeous. Enjoy your stay !
Exceptional staff, welcoming and professional in every way. Housekeeping and all the amenities at the Hotel are worth their 5 star rating and then some. I will definitely be back either on business or with my Family and choose the Radisson for sure.
Wonderful hotel. Stayed for a week and could not fault anything. Staff was warm and welcoming, great food and excellent location right on Nevsky Prospect in the middle of Saint Petersburg. Can't wait to go back
I was so happy to have booked this place. It is newly renovated, and looked so much better than I had ever expected from a Radison Hotel. The interior is modern, yet classic, warm, comfortable. More like you can expect in a boutique hotel. Staff was alert, professional, accomodating. 10 points for them. Wifi worked seamlessly. 10 points for that. I traveled for business and having easy wifi is a great help. The bed was firm, but enough comfortable (I like softer beds). The television screen is large and easy to navigate with clear menu. Extra plus for speaker in the bathroom. One negative was the blow dryer. It is the standard wall mounted kind that I absolutely find useless if you have a hairstyle to maintain, as you have to hold a button to use it. Hopefully they have others to borrow, but I was not there long enough to have to inquire about it. The gym is really poor. That needs to improve to match the room standard. My room: 534 was beautiful, but if I had traveled with my husband it would have felt too small for two people. The mini bar is great and complimentary coffee/water is top quality, as well as IT WORKS bath products. Breakfast buffe was top class.
I arrived late in the evening and was greeted by very friendly and helpful personnel, who offered me a glass of champagne! What a great start to a great stay. Everyting was perfect from hotel room, staff, food, cleanliness. Will definitely come back when I visit St. Petersburg next time.
Recent stay with friends on our first visit to Russia, the hotel service was exceptional from beginning to end and very well looked after. The attention to detail and swift, helpful service was amazing. The staff were all brilliant from the girls in the breakfast room who were attentive and friendly to the bar staff, concierge and reception staff and especially Victoria who always looked out for us and made sure our stay was comfortable. Great location for sights, and hop on hop off bus stops right outside. Also close to the train station which was handy for us as we took the high speed train to Moscow for the day.
I have just returned from a 5 night stay in St Petersburg and can not recommend this hotel highly enough. From my initial booking and request for assistance with visa etc, the service has been superb. I was with a group of friends all of whom are frequent travellers and we all agreed that this hotel is special. The hotel itself is in a superb location and within ideal walking distance of most of the sights we wanted to see. Our rooms were lovely and were spotlessly clean. The breakfast buffet was excellent and the staff very attentive and efficient. I feel it's wrong to single out individual members of staff as everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful but particular mention must go to Victoria - thank you and to Dennis one of the bar / restaurant staff. This was our first visit to Russia and you certainly helped to make it special.
We arrived around11:00 in the morning after an 4 hour flight and you can not check in till 3 pm. But when we arrived they said the room is ready, which was great! The room was very large, comfortable and had everything needed by us. Breakfast was very good and the staff was very friendly an answer any request we had.
I always enjoy staying at Radisson that makes me feel home. Just "that" touch that distinguishes from other equal level class chain. Champagne as welcome drink, REAL orange juice at breakfast and Nespresso in the room. Wide and comfortable
The 5 star hotel is 15 minutes walk to the Hermitage, St Isaacs Nd the Spilt blood Church and Russian museum. Just straight up Nevesky high street.
