I have just returned from a 5 night stay in St Petersburg and can not recommend this hotel highly enough. From my initial booking and request for assistance with visa etc, the service has been superb. I was with a group of friends all of whom are frequent travellers and we all agreed that this hotel is special. The hotel itself is in a superb location and within ideal walking distance of most of the sights we wanted to see. Our rooms were lovely and were spotlessly clean. The breakfast buffet was excellent and the staff very attentive and efficient. I feel it's wrong to single out individual members of staff as everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful but particular mention must go to Victoria - thank you and to Dennis one of the bar / restaurant staff. This was our first visit to Russia and you certainly helped to make it special.
We arrived around11:00 in the morning after an 4 hour flight and you can not check in till 3 pm. But when we arrived they said the room is ready, which was great! The room was very large, comfortable and had everything needed by us. Breakfast was very good and the staff was very friendly an answer any request we had.
I always enjoy staying at Radisson that makes me feel home. Just "that" touch that distinguishes from other equal level class chain. Champagne as welcome drink, REAL orange juice at breakfast and Nespresso in the room. Wide and comfortable
The 5 star hotel is 15 minutes walk to the Hermitage, St Isaacs Nd the Spilt blood Church and Russian museum. Just straight up Nevesky high street. The hotel rooms are very nice especially the Business club rooms and the breakfast is never ending 1 he luxury. What a superb break for 4 nights in a classy hotel
Starting from Check-in to check-out, everyone was very helpful and friendly. Special mention of the girl (a young girl)who was making Omelet. Very sweet. Nice Breakfast. Will definitely stay again when I visit St. Petersburg early next year.
The best part about the Radisson Royal Hotel is its location right on the Nevsky Prospect. From here you can easily walk to The Winter Palace and the Church of the Resurrection. Additionally, there is a trolley stop right across the street from the hotel. At night, there are street performers all along the Nevsky Prospect which makes for a fun evening strolling the Nevsky and looking at the city gorgeously lit up at night. One of the nights we were there, we went to the ballet at the Hermitage Theatre. It was an easy, fun and safe walk home – maybe a mile and a half. Another night, we took one of the canal boats, (which are located near the hotel) and cruised the canals at night. Beautiful. The rooms themselves are on the smallish side, but have been updated, and have comfortable beds and nice bathrooms. Amenities include free Wi-Fi, tea pots, hairdryers, a safe, robes, slippers and nice bathroom products and toilet paper. The hotel provides 2 bottles of water per day and there is a small grocery store around the corner from the hotel where you can get more (go left out the door of the hotel and then left at the next street.) There is a bank next door to the hotel (go right exiting the hotel) on the Nevsky Prospect that exchanges money. There is a nice bar in the hotel with a piano player at night. Breakfast at the hotel was nothing to write home about, but was adequate with made to order eggs and waffles. Champaign and caviar were a nice touch. All in all, a wonderful place to stay in St. Petersburg with a very convenient location.
Great experience. They made a great surprise for my wife's birthday. Special thanks to front office team and Lisa Vorobyeva, ER manager. Well done guys! Liked the new design of the rooms. Finally new audio/video system is installed and has a great flat screen. This is our home away from home with the best service and the personal touch you imagine. New Cheif will make sure that the food is great as well.
This prime hotel's biggest strategic advantage is its location right smack in the heart of St Petersburg's shopping street, Nevy Prospect, within easy reach of the metro, department stores, cafes, Neva canal as well as the train station to Moscow. Its posh factor is underlined by a formally attired doorman and a concierge desk which even offered well-priced tickets for sellout Mariinsky Ballet shows, amongst others. Breakfast was excellent, with champagne, caviar and freshly pressed orange juice thrown in. The well appointed room had a Nespresso machine which was a plus point. The only gripe is that the bathroom floor was a mite bit slippery, and their wardrobe had those dreadful "don't steal me" hangers which cannot be removed from the rail. 5-star hotels do not need to be so cheapskate as to fear guests walking away with the occasional hanger.
4 nights experience in this hotel. rooms are very clean and large enough. The location is great. Nevsky street in the heart of city near to shopping center and restaurants. Breakfast was good enough. Anyway I think it is a high level 4 star hotel (not 5).
We stayed here for two nights in August and would definitely stay here again if we ever returned to St Petersburg. Our room couldn't have been better. It was spacious and tastefully decorated with a bathroom to match. Our breakfast was excellent - they even offered omelettes cooked to order. Service could be a bit hit and miss but the staff were friendly and very willing to help. The building itself was once a spice merchants home and is very centrally placed on the main shopping street with lots of nearby restaurants.Thank you Radisson Royal for such a pleasant stay.
