The location may not be ideal or right in the middle of the tourist attractions, but, you will get a clean room, good breakfast, including free coffee/tea, etc, very friendly and helpful staff. However, there are also good benefits to this location, such as: quiet place with no traffic, obviously meaning, you will get a good sleep, even with an open window, free gated parking area, which is often hard to find in the city, if you travel with your car. There is also a free transfer available to bring you the city. Although, if you are not afraid going by foot in the unknown city, the path to Alexander column (Hermitage) will take you about 40 minutes. Overall, a very pleasant stay, and since the price in low season may drop to 60% or even lower, an absolute must stay.
Visited this hotel on a business trip. Good place for a budget travel. Vicinity to old-town. Fantastic friendly staff, nicely renovated rooms. Well working wi-fi. Cosy atmosphere at the lobby. Well-designed conference rooms and beautiful leather-sofas in the lobby (special order). Only thing- breakfast could be better!
We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights during our stay in Saint Petersburg. Really beautiful and cosy room, reaaaaally large with nice decorations. Bathroom also large, clean and modern with shower gel, shampoo, hair dryer of course. Breakfast delicious, but the dining room quite small, once we had problem to find free table. Only disadvantage is the distance from the centre, but hotel provides shuttle bus to the nearest metro station. On the other hand, twice we walked from centre to our hotel by foot with no problems. Yes, its quite a distance, but its nice walk :)
We`ve really enjoyed the hotel!Very friendly and responsive staff-girls. The menu of the restaurant is quite diverse, and tea is available at any time. Besides the hotel has a really good location directly at the city center (near New Holland Park). Now, we know where to stay in St.Petersburg if come there again!
Avoid this place like the plague. Several weeks after our stay they charged our credit card for our stay, which they claimed we hadn't payed, even though we had payed in cash, and the receptionist said our payment was sufficient. A bit over a month after we had come home they claimed that we stilled owed them several thousand rubels and charged our credit card. Even though we tried to explain the situation in several e-mails that the receptionist had given us the price we had payed, they refused to admit any wrongdoing and to refund even partly the sum. There are several nice places to stay in St. Petersburg. This is not one of them.
The hotel itself is very small, but the stuff is friendly and kind. The rooms are very good. During morning, from 7:30 am to 11:30 am, they serve an oppen buffet breakfast. Tea and coffee are offered for free 24/24. In your absence everyday, they clean your room and change the towels.
Dear Alexandra, Thank you so much for your wonderful service! You helped us with Russian; navigating St. Petersburg: cabs, bus, trains and metro; as well as the small things like making sure our postcards got into the mail. Truly excellent, personal support. Your hotel is wonderful too, a great value for the money. Conveniently located near a 22 bus stop and small market. Rooms aren't fancy, but they are clean and comfortable. We will stay again when we return to St. Petersburg. Staying at the Admiralteyskaya eliminates the problem of where to stay! Best wishes and many thanks!
Very wellcoming staff. Lovely hotel. Good food. Breakfast and transfers are included in hotel price. Hotel is located in a quiet island with lots of river/canal walks and about 30min walk to city centre (can also take taxi or public transport) We were allowed to park our car in hotels private driveway , which was very nice of them. There is a security guard at the entrance and loaction is very quiet (no through traffic) Very worth the price we paid. Only thing I wish was better is the walls in our room, they were in need of a lick of paint as the walls looked worn out and lost the white colour. I would gladly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling on a budget. Also they bake biscuits, when you get there, make sure you have some from reception.
People who are working in the hotel have really been doing their best to make it up for the smelly rooms, stinking rusty shower water, poor or no cleaning, worn out bedlinen with holes in it and towels that look as if wild dogs just finished fighting over them. References left by obviously real people did not match the reality whatsoever. I had to change rooms three times in a desperate attempt to find one that actually is suitable for people with sense of smell but it was probably taken. My poor travel pillow was left behind as I was rushing to another hotel and when I called to claim it I was told that it was never found...makes one wonder... I got an impression that people working at that hotel are held responsible for the feedback the hotel is getting so I want to emphasize that they did what they could to keep me happy(with an exception of a cleaning team: somebody's hair in my bed is just not ok).
First time here,TOO short, enjoyed very much, most of all in the night, beautiful cathedrals and buildings lighted, visited many things but missed a lot, reason to go again and in the same Hotel!! A lot of good restaurants, pubs, shops in StPetersburg
