I stayed there only once, but I jad a positive impressions. Good, clean spacious rooms. View from my window was on the water - great after darkness with city is lightening up. Good choice at the breakfast buffet. Coffee could be better - milk tasted too sweet.
Their location is not so close from center of the city but not so far. There are two Merto station within walking distance and also we may be able to walk to Hermitage in summer season.(I did not try bcoz it was so cold outside in OCT!) Rooms are clean and roomy enough, staff are very helpful, bar is quite reasonable, ATM and fitness area are available 24hours. Luckly I could stay the room with river view... it was amazing especially in the morning grow!! Just hope their Breakfast would have some soup like borscht signature of this country... (They did not have any soup during my stay)
Courtyard by Marriot- A hotel set inside end of the township, on the Neva river embankment, and it’s probably the best part for it being in an unique location, where you see the beauty of the riverside from your room, despite the city life. Honestly during our homework we did not find too many descriptive reviews about the hotel but took a risk to book it, but believe us its worth your money. We had booked the standard double room with river view beforehand and we were offered check in on arrival immediately. Come out of the hotel and cross the street and you are on the river embankment.. Don’t forget to take your cam, otherwise you miss it. Plan your holidays except rainy season otherwise you go missing the beauty of Saint Petersburg !!! Rooms and Bathroom – Very Cozy and Warm (you need it because of the Russian weather), beautifully decorated and well furnished. Clean King Size Double/ Single Beds and mattresses. Sofa, reading table, almirah, tea and coffee maker, reading lights, iron, hair dryer, etc.. Bathrooms are very nice and clean with Hot and Cold water facilities but should also provide hand flush facilities in lavatory. What really needs to be appreciated is the wallpaper combinations of rooms and design of curtains and floor mattress, which depicts that the hotel, has modern and rejuvenated taste. Tariff – Fits your pocket and worth it. Would recommend to book directly by contacting to hotel’s mail, which can be sought from their official website Food – Tasty, Both Veg and Non –Veg available, but a property like Marriot is expected to have more options especially a little variety of cuisines. Nice decorated bar and restaurant. Hotel Ambience & Staff– Very Nice, Decorated, with Peaceful surroundings, where you enjoy a good holiday all away from busy schedules and can even enjoy stays in official tours. Staffs are very courteous, polite and helpful. The travel desk also can arrange vehicles at fit to budget cost for your site seeing and other destinations or you can use the bus services which are very frequent and handy to Travel. The hotel has currency exchange counter which is quite economical. Petersburg Site-seeing and Nearby market – Many Places in site seeing near to hotel. Two-Three day out enough for site seeing. One can enjoy the Great Hermitage & Winter Palace (you have an hassel free entry with pass from Marriot, ask at hotel traveldesk counter) just 15 mins from hotel by walk along the embankment. The other site scenes (by city taxi-quite economical, ask hotel travel desk to book) includes Marrinisky Theatre, The Church of the Saviour on Spilled Blood, Saint Issacs Cathedral, Peter and Paul Fortress, The Russian Museum and many more. If you go to Peterhof Palace it’s a whole day out from morning to evening. Apart from these, one can enjoy river safaris, it feels like Venice go like. Market and food resturants, bars also available within 15 mins walk from hotel.
We began our adventure in St. Petersburg and this hotel is wonderful. A hotel driver picked us up at the airport, the food there is great, our room was beautiful and the breakfast always got us started for our days adventures. The staff was very helpful and took great care of us. They arranged a guide for us to explore and learn about their history
The location is not that close to center and not far. Rooms are clean staf are helpful. Breakfast not that much . When i did the chick in the give me twin bed , i went back to the respation i told them my reservation king bed how can we sleep in different bed me and my husband, she said this is your reservation, actually it wasnt.then i told her change it , she clame there were no room available and i was disappointed and i was about to cancel my booking But finally she find a room with king bed
The location next to the river is good but it is a little distance from the city center. The bar at lobby level has some good Russian lager in tap. Service is adequate in the hotel but look out for crowded lobbies during the tourist season. There is a money exchange and ATM machine within the hotel. Breakfast fare is average.
Even though the hotel is being refurbished it's a beautiful old building located not far from various must see attractions downtown. Staff is friendly and helpful especially the concierge desk does a fab job. Happy to recommend the hotel. It's not a 5 star bunker but it's worth it for the money you pay.
The hotel is clean and comfortable. The breakfast was not abundant but everything was delicious especially the sweets. There are supermarkets, drug stores and some good cafes and restaurants in the walking distance. But remember not to use the currency exchange at the hotel, as you can get a higher rate at the currency exchange offices in the city.
Stayed here for two nights during White Nights. Upgraded to a spacious junior suite due to status. The views overlooking the river and St. Petersburg's skyline were splendid, particularly just right before sunset during the famed white nights. It's also conveniently located near the Sportivnaya metro which connects you to the major attractions around the stunning city of St. Petersburg. It is about a half hour walk to St. Peters and Paul Fortress as well as the Kunstkamera Museum. The lobby is quite small but that did not matter because the staff was so cordial and welcoming. The room assigned to me more than exceeded my expectations. Well-appointed furniture and tastefully decorated, I'd certainly stay here again when I get the opportunity again to visit this glorious city! The only downside was that Courtyards do not offer free breakfast to status holders. Maybe that would change in the future.
We were stay here for 4 nights,2 adults,1 kids,1 infant. we reserved a triple bed room. First we went to a room with conference room roof view!!! that they add a portable bed beside its king size bed.no more space in room for walk.... We back to reception for a larger room, but they said its fully booked and we did not have any option. Finally we pay 7000 RUB more, and upgrade our room to a studio in top floor with river view. Good breakfast and very good wifi.nice staff, very small and simple luby.do not recommand its resturant for lunch or dinner because of limit selection and price.
