I will make this review very short and easy. ---Pro--- Big rooms with refrigerator, comfortable bed and good wifi Very clean room every day Friendly staff Location is average, if you like walking maybe not walking distance for everyone but metro Guard outside that makes it feel safe all the time Small supermarket and coffee-place just outside. ---Cons--- Sound from traffic on 2 sides. Make sure that you get a room high up and towards the 3rd more quiet street. A little bit far away from center if you don't like walking or cant walk. Metro is not very far though and is cheap. Breakfast is not included in room price
Hotel took the decision to cancel a reservation without prior notice, I have booked 3 month in advance They just care about money and not delivering customer satisfaction When i realize i have called Marriott plt service and hotel did honors the rooms
Marriott is my favourite chain and this hotel was a beautiful one by the river. Being a gold member got upgraded to a suite and the view from the room was spectacular. There were lots of issues in the hotel - checkin was quite slow and the air conditioning didn't work nor did the safe work. The safe was fixed but the air-conditioning wasn't. The hotel staff weren't ready to acknowledge and fix the issue either. What could have been a great experience didn't live upto it.
Finally we had 2 double beds instead of twins on this European adventure at the Courtyard by Marriott St Petersburg. The room is large as is the bathroom. The restaurant is good but slow and closes early. The included buffet breakfast was varied. The rooms do not get dark this time of year because they do not have black out shades for the White Nights.
Our group stayed here for 5 nights. You can expect the usual Courtyard by Marriott standard. We have seen groups checking in and out but we did not encounter them during check in as we arrived late in the evening. Location is a little away from the city's main attractions and shopping area but is made up by the new underground station nearby, Sportivnaya. One of the exits is only 300m away. After getting in, there is a series of travelators to bring you to the platform which is over 80m underground. It is one stop from Admiralteyskaya station, the stop for Hermitage. The property has riverfront and some of the rooms have riverview. Across the side street, you will find 2 cafes, a large minimart and a Watson like store. Restaurants need a bit if walking. There is a Chinese restaurant nearby but we did not try it. If you need a self service laundrette, Prachka is 1.6km away. We did a wash there during our stay.
an excellent property, it has all the bells and whistles to make a great hotel, together with water views, but the location is a bit difficult for first time travelers in Russia, the underground seeming more than a bit challenging. It's possible to walk a longish way off the island the hotel sits on, but not very easy to get directions from locals.
This is a wonderful hotel. Location is awesome with wonderful river view. People at the reception were very courteous. Gave a warm welcome, explained me about the hotel, room, restaurants. Rooms are spacious and neat. Food was delicious. Overall it was a great stay.
Carry your own luggage; huge crowd during check in; faulty billing are few of the woes you need to encounter if you stay here. Marriott is just name sake no traits attached to the Marriott brand found anywhere. Service is too cold people don't smile very very plastic service. Don't expect too much out of this hotel; you would get disappointed. Look for alternatives.
I liked this hotel a lot. Room was big and had all we needed. Nice view of the water from room 337. Staff were all very friendly and the breakfast choice was extensive. Coffee was great and apricots were a highlight. The bar was cosy and food very pleasant.
I stayed here for a week, a very reasonable price and looks great on website. Check in was quick and simple. Room was immaculate with 2 bottles of water, an empty fridge, a kettle with various hot drinks and air conditioning. Room cleaning very good and standard. Breakfast fine, fruit, cereals, pastry and typical breakfast, coffee machines and fresh juices available. I had paid for room and breakfast deal so I don’t know how much this would be if it was not inclusive. Lobby bar, not great. Quite dark, constant football on tv, and only one barman who seems to be waiter too, overworked and a bit of a waiting list to get your order. What annoyed me a lot with this hotel is the restaurant, I tried to go in for evening me to be turned away as they only serve group tourists in the hotel, completely unprofessional and when I went to the lobby bar to get food there instead I was informed they had no food left? Only sandwiches. So not the best when it comes to the hotel lobby bar or restaurant. There is NO room service, I asked whilst I was checking in, they said that as a 4 star hotel, it was not a requirement. There is a small supermarket in hotel too. Location of hotel is ok, you can walk to centre, takes about 25 mins and their many restaurants close by. Overall, a good hotel to sleep in but that’s about it.
