The hotel was located on a quiet street. A metro stop is not to far away. It was easy to walk to the hermitage. The breakfast was okay but there wasn't much on offer. The room we stayed in had very good air con. We couldn't find a safe. The hotel stores our bags until the evening after we checked out.
The good: the bed was comfy, not too hot in the room, quiet, opening windows and a reasonable size room. The shower was hot with good pressure but the temperature would vary suddenly mid shower! It had a bath with a proper plug. Liquid soap on the wall is a good idea. The average: the breakfast, the range is ok and the food reasonable but the coffee was awful. The service; one waitress was a real Prima Donna and was quite stressful. The other gentleman and waitress were nice however and helpful. The location was handy to shops and restaurants with a nice coffee shop on the corner. Would not stay here again
Located on a quiet street of St Petersburg, this quaint hotel is really everything you need. Great location, good food, ease of accessibility and a very friendly staff. We stayed here for 2 days and I must say this hotel added to the charm that we experienced at St Petersburg.
Honestly, before we arrived to the hotel I had not such a good feeling. Well Russian hotels don't have such a high hotel standard as rest of the world. And it wasn't a 5 * hotel in the city center so I prepared myself for the worth.... I was shocked. The hotel is fantastic. Yes, if you don't like to walk much, than it is may be exactly ur hotel as it takes 20-30 min to go to Hermitage, 15 min till Nevsky Pr. The whole area in the hotel is clean, nothing was brocken or damaged. The room (Standart one) was big, clean, with 2 big windows, flat TV, tea, hairdryer in the Bathroom. The food in the restaurant was delicious. It took a while to get the meal but, I must tell, the waiter always informed us in advance, that it can take a while when the restaurant was full. My personal thanks to the cooks! All the waiters spoke English and were super nice. The Lady on the reception (Anastasia) was very helpful and gave us few important advises. And the prices for the room were not too high as in the rest of the city.
A very nice hotel near the city centre. My dad and I were guests here arriving a few days early before we took a river cruise from St. Petersburg to Moscow. We spent 2 days wandering the Hermitage because it is just too much to take in a half day! The hotel staff quite nice and friendly, and showed us places of interest and made some decent restaurant recommendations.
Service The service was good, the staff seemed friendly. We checked in with Mary who is probably one of the friendliest people we met in our travels across Russia, she even offered an upgrade of room from the single room i had booked. She talked us through the city and sites with a map briefly. A good introduction to the hotel. Location The location was good. In a quiet backstreet, and also backs onto a car park with little traffic or noise. It was centrally located and you could walk to a lot of places. The main street (nevsky prospekt) is not far away. And there are plenty of good places to eat in the local area. There is a street near by with a selection of quality bars on. Sleep Quality The sleep quality I thought was good. I got no noise from other rooms, or in fact anywhere. Rooms The room was clean with windows that opened, it had an aditional fly net to prevent any bugs coming in. It had two channels in English on the television. The air conditioning was brilliant, and everything was clean. Breakfast Breakfast was good, a nice selection which changed. The two best things were the crepe style pancakes and also the porridge. The porridge easily topped it, it's a bit of a weird thing to review but i have never tasted porridge like it! It was addictive. On the last day they ran out as we were late down, they still made us little bowls of porridge for us alone. This is one of the reasons i have added a star. Overall I would definitely come back to the hotel. A good basic hotel, which was clean, centrally located. And the staff were brilliant, all going the extra mile to help us. It was quiet and tucked away unlike many of the larger chains on main roads. I also liked the boutique feeling of the hotel. Definitely stay here, i would recommend this for all types of people.
In general, I liked st petersburg a lot. It is a nice destination. The hotel is very cozy and clean. It is like home style which is awesome to me. The breakfast is limited and repetitive but it is nice and fresh. It is near to the metro station. The reception was very nice and helpful when we asked about anything they guided us. The restaurant people are serious, they need to loosen up a bit. The doorman is extremely helpful with a cheerfully face. We asked for a boiler so they provided boiler with tea and coffee bags. It is not a fancy hotel but very pleasant and clean. I definitely recommend.
I am travelling by own car and to this hotel was easy to go..good location and parking for cars.Room ok as well as bathroom,in the evening i just ate light salands with home Baked bread....salad was ok but bread very dry..needed a little warming.Breakfast was typical in this level hotel.
Very friendly staff. They generously give you all information you need especially if it is your first visit to St. Petersburg. Food is nice. Rooms are coasy and has aminities offered for free. A bottle of water offered daily to each one of us, and amenities refilled daily for free. Quiet area and the hotel systems qnd regulations are very guest friendly. We really felt at home and had no worries when roaming the city because we know that the hotel staff is always there to support. I want to thank each and every one working there.
Everything one can ask for in a budget hotel. Nice room at the top of the hotel so the ceilings are low in parts and window arrangement in the roof is curious. The hotel has its own restaurant which is used for the excellent breakfasts and on our first night we had dinner there also. Very friendly service and a nice meal. You can walk into the city from here and there are some good veggie restaurants on the route in. Would happily return another time.
