The hotel is OK for the price and very clean and nice for a pets friendly hotel. The garden is beautiful and the lake with the fountain gives it a nice and relaxing look. The rooms have all appliances you might need, but there are no microwavable mugs to make a tea and they promote the coffee makers with the disposable cups, but the coffee maker didn't seem to have been used in along time and it was not the cleanest thing to use. I called the desk, but they don't have mugs to give to the guests. The restaurant is a separate business and I didn't get a good service there. In general I found this hotel very comfortable to stay a night while traveling with my dog, and I would recommend to friends in the same situation.
Very nice hotel, good location, big rooms with big balconies overlooking the canal. Very nice staff, very clean, really big pool. Would stay again.
The only positive experience was staff. The beds were very uncomfortable and we could hear all the cars from the highway all night long. A hot breakfast was included which was nice, but the facility needs some cleaning up. It is run down.
This place makes many excuses in there reviews for the problems that they have. The smell is hard to over look, and the rooms are in need of updating, the rugs smell and look very old and stained. There are signs of a great lack of maintenance throughout the property. This was my first and last stay at this hotel.
Big, clean room. Only stayed one night, but would stay again.
Nice place to stay. I stay here when I go to Florida.Only problem was the toilets. Stayed twice in a couple of weeks.one room the toilet wouldn't flush properly. The other the lid wouldn't stay up due to the shelf over the toilet was built to far out. The other problem was a guy who seems like he might live there. He stays outside a lot taking to himself. I would stay there again. Wish they would open the bar and restaurant again. Look for the alligator in the water.
First, the furniture is in BAD shape and needs to be overhauled and repaired. The balcony is ONLY cleaned by Mother Nature when it rains and that is an asset for the place YET is FILTHY! I took a shower, and put the heat lamps on and left the door half open as the fan does not absorb the moisture and I didn't want to cause a mold issue - well ....BIG MISTAKE! I'm showering about 5 minutes and kept on smelling paper or wood burning smell and it continued to get stronger. I finally peaked out of the shower curtain to see FLAMES shooting off the top of the bathroom door and there less than 12" from the two heat lamps is the SPRINKLER! I panicked as I just spent DAYS organizing boxes full of papers and they were all over the room and OMG - if they got wet...so I got out of the shower and wiped out on the tile floor injuring my back & knees in an attempt to put out the fire. I was able to get up, grab towels and wet them and throw a dry towel over the toilet and toss the wet towels onto the fire to extinguish it. I told the Mgr (who cannot even be 24 years old and is clueless) about the situation and his response "it's an old hotel and I'll let maintenance know" - NOT ONCE did he even ask IF I was okay. Now granted I am handicapped with a service dog strapped to me and had requested a First Floor room so grass was easy for the dog to utilize - I got the 3rd floor and the FARTHEST building from the complimentary breakfast. The 24 hr business center is a TOTAL JOKE -
This was a good location and nice hotel for a family event. The staff helped with the event and everything turned out well. Pool was unheated, but it was December.
Everything was super with our stay with one exception....no microwave in room. Was told would have to switch rooms to get one after we had unloaded all our belongings.
The stay was a pleasant surprise. I thought since the place was cheap, it would have small room and would not be clean. It was both clean and had decent room size.
Good stay, clean, safe, good bar inside and good staff.
This was an excellent stay. A definite come back to place.
everything looked like good value upon entering. Great staff, nice lobby. Not so the room-the room had moldy smell and felt like the whole bed, etc were sort of damp. Finally I opened the balcony door and blasted the A/C and by morning it was fine..but I was leaving. Pillows were too large for the pillow cases so I was forced to keep my face away from the nasty end that I am sure others has been using. Pillows were hard as rocks. Other motels get those ffluffy pillows- Target sells them for $4.00..which fit into cases, and are easily washed. Horrible night!! Will not return! Also the "breakfast" was way below what other less expensive hotels and motels offer!! I have had much better on all accounts for $47.00 NOT $79.00!! ( be glad to list the better hotels for you)
On the booking site they gave me two choices for rooms one for king bed with water view and one with double beds with water view so I picked the king bed with the water view. When I got to the hotel I tried to show the kid at the desk the email with the confirmation code for my room and he wouldn't even look at it. He said it doesn't matter because he hadn't received the email from the booking site in his email. I didn't even think he was going to let me have a room so then he took my debit card and put a $98.00 hold on it which is more than the room cost me on the booking site to begin with! I blew it off cause I had a cab waiting to take me to dinner and took my bags to the room and open the curtains because I had told the kid I reserved a room with a waterfront view ... and sure enough I had a roof view!! I went back to the desk and he said it was all he had although the parking lot was empty! So the next day I ask for the manager and was informed by her that all rooms are "water view" because the hotel is on the water and that it doesn't matter if you can actually see the water from your room! She was very rude and not helpful at all! I will not return again! I only picked the low rated hotel because the price is actually cheap if you have a "water view" but soooo not worth the price at all for the hotel with no view.
We visited for 4th of July weekend, the view from the room was serene facing the water. Close to tarpon springs and Clearwater, would definitely revisit.
Staff was helpful, rooms were clean and spacious. We and a beautiful view from our balcony facing the water.
Location was great and room was what I expected for the price. Front desk could have been a little more helpful and friendly. Overall not a bad stay.
Very clean. Good location. Clean and quiet room. Nice view of canal off Lake Tarpon. Very friendly staff. Poor breakfast choices.
very nice room, loved the balcony, the staff were all very friendly and helpful and the pool was also great. the only complaint would be the continental breakfast was very minimal. it would be great if they had an on-site restaurant.
Not good. We arrived at this older, rundown motel only to find that the elevators had gone out. Okay, fine, but we were on the third floor and my husband is a stroke patient. I asked for first floor (the place might as well have been empty). She gave me a first floor for $67. MORE. The Deluxe King Suite was extremely smelly. I believe there is something out there that gets the smell out. It was mold and mildew. The paint was chipped inside and outside. For heaven's sake, the toilet was located UNDER the counter and the needed to be velcroed up to the counter. The bed was comfortable.
