this place is tired and worn..needs alot of TLC..I would not recommend it to anyone.please remove it from your list of places to stay in tarpon springs

The manager/owner was on the computer/ the only only one available for use at this hotel. He offers you the use of it, yeah , like I'm going to put my info on his comp.,so after he finished what he was doing, he checked us in, When we drove around to our room, the paint peeling off the walls of the building would have been a dead give away. No, inside was worse! The black carpet, originally a tan or beige, had the odor of ALL-OUTDOORS. The bathroom was as bad or worse!

I had my doubts about staying here after reading reviews but with my budget decieded to go ahead & chance it...glad I did...Recommended for a basic place to stay on a budget. The location was nice, a short driving distance from the sponge docks and within walking distance of downtown Tarpon Springs..The staff was friendly.. we arrived 4 hrs early & was allowed to check in...Rooms are not what you get @ the high end prices but ok ,you get what you pay for. I would stay again

The staff at this small hotel made the stay special. They were very conscientious of the comfort and wishes of guests, and made one feel valued as a customer. the location was nice, a short driving distance from the sponge docks and attractions of Tarpon Springs, and yet on a small quiet side local adjacent to a bayou which offered a lovely morning or evening walk. The highlight however still remains the friendly and helpful hotel staff.

At check-in they did not have our reservations, we requested a no smoking room and it badly smelled of cigarettes. Sheets were dingy room was gross, We asked for a refund and checked out immediately. I cannot believe anyone would endorse such a disgusting place.

Hotel was clean, located close to the sponge docks and beaches, and very affordable. Recommended for a basic place to stay on a budget.

They advertise as a hotel but they're actually a horrible Motel. It's the worst experience I've had in my life while traveling, the place is a complete caos, room was totally filthy, everything was dirty, damaged or stinky, we can't stand the horrible mold stink in the room, even the shower curtain has mold stains, totally waste of money, worst stay ever, not recommended to anybody, we even took pictures of the condition of room, even ceiling was cracked and we were afraid to get it falling on us at night.I do'n't know how [...] and other web sites still continue doing business with this hotel, they are a nightmare for travelers and turism in Tarpon Springs, not recomended to anybody

Great location, close to everything in Tarpon Springs

Arrived in 98 degree heat -- AC was not on. The AC unit was in the wall and smaller than any window unit that I have ever seen. All other rooms were like this too (to conserve the electric bill!) Room was not cool until about 3:00am. Beds were old, soft and only had a sheet. Room and bath were dirty, floors were sticky and tub/shower were mildewed and smelled badly.

Run away from this place. The location is okay, but the hotel houses transients. Not only did my first hotel room door not lock, the A/C in he second room they put me in didn't work. [...] the place smelled awful. I didn't feel safe there and not having A/C that worked just wasn't going to cut it in the Florida weather. I left that night to another hotel and with intentions of getting my money back. Such an awful experience. It's such a shame too. Tarpon Springs is a quaint little town with so much to offer. And the greek food is to die for. I suggest staying up the road a little in Dunedin. You will pay a little more, but well worth it if you want to feel safe and comfortable.

One problem with the Tarpon Inn was thatthe electrical cord on the microwave was not long enough to reach the wall socket which was high up on the wall. Solved this delimma by setting the microwave on our ice chest. Nothing was a serious issue but given the price I would have expected better.
