It’s way overpriced for a rundown motel. Couldn’t take a proper shower, water trickled out enough to wash your big toe! It was a cold evening, no heat in the room you could see your breath! This motel is tired, overpriced & not worth 1/4 what we paid. Horrible experience, no shower, no heat!

Ice machine was out of order. 2 pools with 1 heated...not the case. Both pools ice cold! One that was supposed to be heated as we checked out, asked about it and they said they would have to call the pool guys to fix it. Bad timing ad we had booked this place for our Christmas vacation on having heated pool. Bed was bumpy all over.

We love staying at St. Pete Beach Suites. This was probably our 8th stay here. There is a new management service but all still is perfect. The first thing you’ll notice is that it is an old motel, but it is gleaming and clean and beautifully kept up. The next thing you’ll notice is the great location. Steps from Upham Beach, steps from restaurants and bars, and quiet! It’s surround by residential condominiums and several rental properties but it’s always quiet and pleasant. It is also pet friendly so that’s why we stay here since we bring our two dogs with us. Every room or suite we have stayed at has been comfortable, well equipped and clean. It’s just a great place.

We arrived early and could not get into room, which we expected. Asked about facility to change into swim suits to walk to beach and come back for check in at 4 pm. no restroom or changing rooms at either pool. Asked about beach facility for changing into suits located 1-2 blocks away. Check in person (owner/manager) didn't know if available. (there is bath house at beach--FYI). When returned from beach at 3pm as per mgr, room still not ready. Check in was 4pm, room wasn't ready till 4:30 or later. When got to room AC and TV didn't work. Went to get MGR again, she had to call in Maintenance Man. He got AC Working but No TV volume. After numerous tries with other remotes, gave up and moved us to different room. Everthing Worked but was located downstairs and we were originally on 2nd floor. Had to Repack all clothes and toiletries back up and relocated downstairs. Room was nicer and clean. .At checkout wanted to get early start, no one available till 9 am. At 8;30 head maintenance guy arrived and said check out was around corner and showed us where all rooms had separate lockboxes for key drop and was opened by a code which should have been supplied to us. IT WAS NOT. Seemed like the manager/owners were NEW and didn't know area for restaurants or bath house locations. And knowledge about AC and TV was lacking, would NOT recommend this motel !!! (Pools not heated either, (our fault for not researching) cold water only good for kids who were there, no adults in pool)

The manager was never in the office once the whole time we were there. We spoke to her on the phone when we arrived, and she told us that we had only reserved two rooms, one less than we'd paid for. The rooms were all clean and spacious. Beds were comfortable. Bathrooms were clean. But everything was stark and minimal. There were two tiny bottles of water in our fridge on our arrival, but none in other rooms. No maid ever visited our room. One bar of soap in the whole bathroom! What a disappointment. This motel had earned a rating of 9 or higher on Expedia. It didn't deserve that at all.

The suite was very nice. It was nice having a stove & refrigerator. Everything was very updated and clean. The only negative about the property I could say is the office is never open. The several times I went there was a sign on the door saying they had stepped away and I had to call them. There’s also no one there from 6 PM until 9 AM which is kind of inconvenient. But other than that it’s a great place and I will definitely choose it again.
