A retro gem if right next to the beach with a nice pool. Not a lot of bells and whistles if you need that kind of thing, but the front desk is always welcoming and it's a relaxing atmosphere.

Great location. Everything needs updating but they kept it comfortable and were friendly. It is being torn down at the end of summer so that explains the lack of updates.

The Sands is a very old property, it shows its wear. The people were very nice, the room was large and clean. It was right on the beach and that’s what we were looking for. Don’t think I would return there as I found other places that were comparable in price that were nicer.

Very nice staff. Room was spacious and clean. The king size bed was so comfortable. I hear they will be updating. Limited parking but extra parking was very close and covered. Look forward to returning again. Beautiful view of beach and oceans and beach very close.

Parking was a bit of an issue and walk to the beach was a ways to go. Not really ideal for those with physical challenges. Beautiful location. Nice pool. They are closing and rebuilding in August. We enjoyed the old florida charm.

Stayed at Sands numerous times. Location is great. Property is old but charming. New paint improved the looks. Staff is super accommodating. Courtyard, new fence around the pool, shaded lounge/eating space are all appreciated.

The property is a vintage hotel and it shows. It’s outdated and needs repairs, updating and a thorough cleaning. People were nice and accommodating but the property left a bit to be desired.

Great stay
We had a great time. 3rd time staying it’s not luxury but perfect for us and view and short walk to beach. We just need a place to sleep and cook some meals with lots of family and friends and it is great for us. They are doing all they can even tho they are tearing it down in few months. So sad to see it go. Running out of small cheaper places to stay for our large group. Staff always friendly.
