This is the one of the worst hotels ever. The smell was really bad, like a combination between a death animal and bleach to try to hide it. The rooms are not like in the pictures. Not even the rest of the property. The hotel is really old. There was sand all over the room and beds when we arrived. The bathroom was old just like the kitchen. People smoking weed outside of the rooms till at least 12 AM. We left the hotel at midnight actually, couldn’t star there even for one night. I will definitely request for a full refund. Some friends advised me about this. Now I can tell. They found bed bugs!!! The only reason why we booked here is because we had a credit that could not be used anywhere else. How can I proceed for a full refund?

Great place to stay for a few days. Service from the office was outstanding. All people were very friendly and provided anything we asked for like beach towels or extra shampoo. The property does need a little maintenance from the outside. But overall great experience at a great price.

Bed Bugs all over the bed! The Room was dirty since the beginning.

Hotel was right on beach walking distance to johns pass. Staff was so friendly and helpful. Even the other guest were amazing

This place is a wonderful place to stay to go back in time...we loved the room and the front office! The weather was brisk for our stay but Treasure Island is so hospitable and this place made it special😘

The location was accommodating. Beach access was fine even though it wasn't "beach weather". Staff very friendly.

The room was basically a 1 bedroom unit with complete kitchen. Its an older property with charm. Very well kept and the staff was great.

Room was remodeled, very cute and retro. Pool was closed for remodeling which I was not told until I saw the empty pool at check-in. This is a historic motel, very affordable, but you get what you pay for. I suspect this will improve as they are working on updating the property now, so for now enjoy the beachfront low prices and don't expect much and later enjoy the newly remodeled intimate setting. Has a lot of potential.

In adequate parking. Not what I expected for beach front property.

Historic motel with nice atmosphere, great staff, clean & comfortable rooms. The second floor (where we roomed) offers a fantastic view of the Gulf of Mexico via a lovely balcony and easy footpath access to the shore through the motel’s main courtyard. The furnishings and stocked kitchenette of the room are mostly modern but clear stylistic nods to The Sands early establishment. Housekeeping was ON it; in and out in a flash, yet thorough and attentive to refreshing the room. Front desk was always readily available to help with everything from directions, to first aid supplies for my son’s splinter. The Sands is simply a lovely place to stay.

Dirty disgusting did not stay here no one would ever enjoy it. I looked at the room and immediately left. Better to lose the money than stay in this place

This property has a lot of nostalgia. A true motel of the early interstate age. It was cool to stay within such history of Americana.

Right on beach. Comfortable Close to restaurants and shopping
