I had to stay here for a month under a temporary assignment from my employer. When I checked in, I noticed that I was stuck on the first floor, which as a solo female traveler, I was not comfortable with. Even though my employer would not be flexible on the level of my room, the Sahel noticed how unsettled I was and went above and beyond and put me on the second floor in a better location and room. The room itself is good but a little dated which is expected since the entire property is undergoing a full renovation so some of the other issues on other reviews should not be a factor. Overall, during my stay the staff has been more than accommodating. Shout out to Trevor, Sahel, and Justin for being excellent hosts. Many thanks for your hospitality.

Anytime we travel, we always look for a stage 1 Residence Inn property with 2 bedrooms/2baths. We love the direct access to the outside and the way the property feels more like an apartment than a hotel. This property is quiet, clean, well maintained with easy access to the highway, yet close to the beaches. The management and staff are always friendly. Highly recommend.

I rely heavily on Trip Advisor reviews when I’m choosing where to stay on our family vacations and could not find a lot of information on pet friendly hotels so I hope this review will be helpful to you. This was our first time traveling with pets. Two, two year old dogs both under 25lbs. I chose this Residence Inn because we needed a full kitchen, ability to sleep 4 adults and because it was pet friendly. They allowed 2 pets per suite with a $100 non-refundable pet cleaning fee which I happily paid thinking that it meant that the room would be thoroughly cleaned and fumigated after the last guests. Sadly that isn’t so as we were greeted by the smell of mold and bits of dried up poop on the carpet...we picked them up, searched for more, sprayed Lysol everywhere and made sure we kept our sandals on at all times. 😩😕 We stayed in #313 a ground floor suite surrounded by grassy areas which made it very convenient to easily walk our dogs. One star earned ⭐️ Breakfast was included and was adequate...second star ⭐️ The sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable. You can feel every single spring digging into you. The other beds are too small to accommodate 2 people and one small dog on each bed. So this suite really isn’t adequate to sleep 4 adults. The first night I started itching like crazy and had a stuffy nose. Since I was the only one itching and also didn’t see any bugs I chalked it up to eczema and allergies because of the moldy smell. After the second night my daughter, husband and son were all itching. We were all covered in bites but couldn’t find the source. Then our poor dogs started itching and when searched I discovered the fleas!!! 😳😳😠😠😤😤😡😡🤬🤬🤬 So here we are all still itching. What a hell of a souvenir and one of my dogs is having a really bad reaction to the flea bites. I’m pissed. So now that I have the additional expense of a vet bill and the cost of Frontline flea treatment I’m extremely upset about having to pay that $100 because they obviously didn’t use the previous guests fee to get rid of the fleas they left behind. I have to say that this is my first bad experience staying at a Marriott hotel. We have visited St. Pete/Clearwater every year for the last 25 years and we have always stayed at a Marriott brand hotel. I didn’t expect to have the same experience that we have had while staying at the Vinoy or the Ritz Carlton but at least something close to the cleanliness of the Courtyard or the Springhill Suites. I’m unable to comment on the Customer service received because although I left a message for the manager, Mr Blanchard has yet to return my call. I guess I will be checking out the LaQuinta Inns next visit to Bush Gardens. Zero pet fees 🤗 Cheaper rooms. Get two rooms and Pre-treat for fleas.

An absolute dump. Before you do, Dont. What attracted me to this hotel were the reviews and the square footage of a so called two bedroom suite. Once we opened the door, we realized that this place was a dump. We laughed at the five star reviews. From the moment you open the door, you’re greeted with the scent of Pine Sol on mildewed carpet. The sofa arms were literally black. There were holes in the ceiling, and dark stains and piles of dust in the wall cracks. The pull out sofa contained a very thin mattress that was all springs wherein we had to purchase a mattress topper so our daughter could sleep on it for the one night we dreadfully stayed. The master bed mattress had a huge sink hole in the middle. The entire place was old, dark, dingy and musty. For the rate we paid, we could have purchased two rooms at a much better hotel chain. I was so embarrassed that I couldn’t even tell my husband how much I paid for this ransack of a place when I was hoping to impress them for the one night. We totally didn’t get what we paid for. We couldn’t wait till morning. When we went to return our room key and the attendant asked how our stay was and I commented nothing we expected, he didn’t even reply. Awful, just awful. Unfortunately we will never stay at this chain again. See the REAL photos I’ve posted of the so called suite.

We have stayed at this hotel several different times now, as we were looking for a home in Florida. The staff has always been great to work with and very friendly. The location makes it easy to get most places around the Tampa/St. Pete area, in any direction. We would definitely stay here again.

We love staying at the Residence Inn hotels when we travel with our children. The suites are spacious and very nice. We have stayed in the 2 bedroom suite and the bathtub in the master bedroom was my favorite place to be. Huge deep claw foot tub!

This place was clean (considering it is pet friendly I was OVERLY impressed), staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was diverse, plentiful and delicious. We had a suite and it was very spacious. The only issue I did have was quickly and easily resolved by the general manager, Justin. Thanks for keeping such a great hotel, I will recommend!

This is a great hotel. Our room was fantastic. Great space with full size kitchen, refrigerator, stove, microwave. Master bedroom has French doors and private bath. Upstairs loft very large with private bath. We never lost power. Free wifi. In spite of the Hurricane the staff provided breakfast for both days! Sara and Justin were magnificent. Great dedicated employees. I will definitely recommend this hotel to friends when they come to visit. Sara and Justin made a scary time for us very tolerable and even enjoyable. Thank You so much! We went back to our homes with little damage. Thank You again!

We recently stayed at this hotel after being evacuated by Hurricane Irma. We could not have asked for a better experience at this hotel. The manager, Justin Blanchard as well as the front desk staff of Sara and Sabel were first class. The staff went beyond expectations and made this very stressful time very pleasant. Kudos to you!!!!

I enjoyed our stay here, the breakfast had a good selection, Tommy was always so nice to everyone and great with the kids. It's great to have the full size kitchen in the room, saves money to prepare some of our meals there. We also used the grill by the pool. Every staff member I met was very friendly and helpful.
