We started our stay on the first floor. We paid $100 to check in early, dropped our stuff off, set the ac to 70 and left for the day. When we returned, the room was 78 and hot. We woke up twice to the ac making an awful banging noise and we were drenched in sweat. We told the front desk and were moved to the 2nd floor, a king suite. When we got in there we were happy with the room, it looked and smelled clean. We left for dinner came back and noticed it smelled really musty. After looking, there was a huge spot of black mold in the bathroom above the mirror. You can tell they fixed it once so I can’t imagine what is hiding back there. I had an infant with me and the infant woke up both mornings with green eyes, all stuffed up and a nasty cough. not sick because the infant would be almost back to normal by the time we got back to our room each day. The staff was nice and the breakfast was good but I think they have some serious issues going on. When I told the staff about it, they ignored my message.

Went into the bathroom to do makeup and could hear dripping and the toilet was leaking from the hole around the handle. Took the lid off the tank and the tank was too full and spilling out. Could hear the water running and shut it off at the valve. Then flushed it to get the water out. Opened the valve and it seemed to be working, but it will probably happen again, because whatever caused it is probably still an issue. There were no cups in the room except 2 coffee cups. There was a spider and web near the ceiling. Very little lighting, no lights above the coffee bar area and no lights for the desk area not even a lamp. The bathroom only had a light around the mirror. The window shade had no strings to lift it up. I usually have really good luck with holiday in express and have always been happy with my stays. That is why I chose it, hopefully it’s a one time thing.
