I've visited the area many times and this was my best experience. We loved everything. We came for peace and relaxation. We will definitely be back.

Very well managed and professionally run hotel. Hotel staff everywhehere and they are very friendly. There are constant cleaning staff about the property. We had loud people next door and when I told reception, they spoke with them and it was quiet after that. I asked them about a squeak in the door and they oiled it immediately as it was waking up our little one. We would stay there again. The pools were very warm and clean as well. Great for families and couples. Probably not for partiers.

This was our second trip to the Alden. This is not the most luxurious property on the beach but it offers the best value in my opinion. The staff is second to none, the facilities are clean and high quality, and the beach is just as close and perfect as the neighboring resorts costing triple the price. The poolside suites are spacious and comfortable with enough room for a family of 4 or even more. The gulf front suites are only a little smaller but still offer lots of space at a great value. This is a quiet property without a bunch of loud nightlife so really ideal for families, but great beach bars are only 2 doors down if you so desire. The only thing I wish was different is the beds, but that just gives a good reason to get up early and enjoy the sunrise. We will return to this laid back paradise!

The room was good, plenty of room. Right on the beach

This hotel is in need of some serious updates. Our AC went out 3 times in one night and when it did work it was extremely loud and rattled. We had 4 different maintenance people try to fix it and the last one said "there is a problem, I don't know what it is" and left. After 2 days they finally had us switch rooms only to encounter the same problem. We checked out and found another hotel. I would not recommend this hotel.

Overall was a great experience though the room was in need of some repair i.e. Cracked tiles bad paint touch ups and bathroom with about three tubes of caulking to much although the bed wa very comfortable. And did I say how great the staff was. Thanks for making the stay special. Thanks. Noel

My best friend and I did a 3 night girls getaway to the Alden Suites Oct 17th-20th. It's a great location, right on a beautiful stretch of beach. Also has several restaurants and shops within walking distance. We didn't have a car and had no trouble accessing meals and convenience stores for what we needed. The property is beautiful, very throw back Florida beach style. The room was nice and clean, a little dated but we expected that. The shower could use an update but it was clean and functioned perfectly for us. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and made for a great nights sleep! There was a kitchenette with a stove, mini fridge, microwave and toaster. We only utilized the mini fridge for our bottled water and beer we bought at the 7 eleven. The staff was all great and helpful. There is a small shop on site that carries all kinds of necessities and we also got advice from the employee ( I think her name was Kathy..) about excursions and the free beach ride transportation that will take u pretty much anywhere. Very helpful. The front desk was also very friendly and checking in and out was a breeze. The tiki bar was great with happy hour from 4-7. All the praise for Chris and Dave is very much deserved. They are super bartenders and incredible people with amazing personalities. They are so friendly and interactive and really have a following in St Pete's beach. I would return to this hotel because of them alone. Overall, it was a great experience at a great price!

Good location, nice staff, but the room was shabby, noisy AC

Perfect hotel for a relaxing vacation on the beach. Easy access from Tampa airport, restaurants and shops nearby. Rooms were comfortable and had kitchens if I you wanted to prepare a quick meal. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be back!

Rooms were great. Hotel infrastructure is in desperate need of repairs

Nice hotel, easy beach access. We stayed in room by pool which was updated and very spacious for family of 4. Only thing that I wasn't impressed with was the housekeeping.

As soon as we pulled up we knew that we had made the wrong choice in hotel. Hotel was very dated and quite unattractive and dirty. Room was barely suitable, with poor furnishings and a rather unenjoyable cold tile floor throughout. Bathroom was extremely small, old, and deteriorated. Room was definitely not very clean as towels were stained with dirt and walls and trim were damaged in multiple places. We had to ask to simply get a shower curtain for the shower since housekeeping had forgotten to put one on. This hotel is not worth wasting your time and the enjoyment of a trip on. Very low quality hotel

This is or second year stating at the Alden for our annual summer getaway. The room was clean and stylish. It was the size of an apartment. Full kitchen and living room along with a separate bedroom area. The pools are fantastic and the walk to the beach was a breeze. The staff is always happy to see us. We have tried a few other resorts in the past in the same area before we knew about The Alden and none of them even come close to how amazing The Alden is. Everyone must go here. Great rates and will have you not wanting to leave.

The hotel staff was very friendly and nice but the room are horrible. I felt very uncomfortable the room is very outdated the bathroom is too small; the sink was very low; and that was a insect on one of the pillow and towel. The drinks at the bar wasn't good but the food was OK!!! The only good thing about this resort or should I say motel is the Beach!!

Definately coming back soon. We liked the beach front access, 2 pools, jacuzzi and walking distance to restaurants. Good place for families with kids.

Great time and very clean. Close to all actives. Great for kids.

The rooms were ok but definitely need to be updated.. It was a fair room with a kitchenette that would be good for families vacationing that didn't want to spend a lot on a room. There was someone staying in the room right above that ran from one end of the room to the other during the early morning but otherwise the a/c unit drowned out the rest of the noise. Housekeeping did a POOR job to say the least.. Did not feel the room was cleaned as well as it could have been!

We've stayed at the Alden for years. I was a little surprised this year that the room condition wasn't as great as it has been in the past. We stayed in the Gulf facing suites in the northern building (Deluxe Gulf Front Suite). It was a free upgrade, which was great. The room was spacious. The pools and large hot tub are a hit with the kids. There are outdoor showers for cleaning off after the beach or pool. There is a walk-out to the beach from the hotel court yard. We'll be back!

Pleasant experience. Rooms somewhat dated but clean. Access to the beach very nice. Fulfilled all our needs during our stay.

Met all of our expectations! We were steps from the beach. Friendly staff. Room was larger than expected. Bedroom could be closed off from the rest of the room, small kitchen area that was open to the living room area and a deck where you can see the most beautiful sunsets around. There were many places within walking distance for eating, shopping and a grocery store less than a mile away. We had a late flight out on the day of check out, they allowed a late check out (1pm) and then allowed us to stay and use all of the hotel amenities, parking, and even provided a place to change and freshen up that included a shower with shampoo etc. provided so we didn't have to dig it back out of the suitcase.
