What a gem. Fantastic hotel. We were a little trepid but we were so surprised. The reception area which leads to the breakfast area was lovely. Coffee and doughnuts were available 24/7 and the breakfast was the best we experienced in 10 hotels so far this trip. The king bed was so comfortable sleep was easy and the room was so clean. The eating places were walkable as was the food market opposite. We stayed for two nights and travelled to visit many cute places along the St Lawrence Seaway. Well done to the owners for having such a superb hotel
Room, bed, washroom all very clean and at a very reasonable price. (Canadian funds available.) Breakfast is included and the selection is good. Close to shopping mall. Ichiban restaurant next door. Excellent value for the money.
The front desk check in was very friendly and accomodating. Our room-it was basic but clean and met our needs. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, We didn't watch tv so can't comment on channels, etc but it did have a new flatscreen. The included breakfast was excellent-hot foods were refreshed regularly and lots of yogurt and fruit. Again, great bed and the shower was hot for both of us. It's clean and comfortable and we will be back.
Spend a weekend in this hotel and we slept very well. The room was clean, the bed, the shower, washroom and all. Our room was equipped with a tv, a huge sofa, king size bed and small fridge. I'm very allergic to dust and I didn't have any issues all weekend (which is rare for me). The breakfast was included and everything was very good. The staff is very friendly so we enjoyed our stay. We will definitely be back! + Free Wi-fi = Happy customer :)
We recently stayed for one night in Watertown. Our room at The Inn at 81 appears to be recently renovated. The front lobby is nicely decorated and the breakfast selection was good, except the fresh fruit selection was not very good. We did get a soiled blanket, but the front desk quickly replaced it with a new one. Highly recommended.
Great room, excellent value and close to shopping and lots of restaurants. Would definatley go back. I would recommend this hotel. Also easy to get to. It was right off off interstate 81. First time time there. Impressed
Rooms comfortable, spacious, and clean. Only downside was not enough outlets for today's tech families, bring an extension cord or powerbar (Do not forget to bring it home). Hot breakfast was well stocked and area was clean, hot liquids available all the time not just breakfast. Even provided a free newspaper with all the Black Friday ads in it.
Stayed 1 night on Oct 5/16 The hotel is neat and clean, staff were pleasant and efficient. Major advantage is the closeness to the highway. Breakfast is sparse, basically gut fill When we checked in I found an old t-shirt on the back of the bedroom, I took to reception.
Was looking for an inexpensive place to stay while driving back from Vermont and was told of this place from a local. It appears to be an old Quality Inn. As matter of fact Google still has it listed as a Quality Inn. Virtually no difference however. Plenty of free parking, a mall, strip malls, supermarkets, gas stations, chain restaurants and other suburban type store fronts abound in this area a few miles from the town center. Room itself is fine. It's spacious with a huge King bed, good sized bath, fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Flat screen TV with few channels. No YES network and no MSNBC but Fox News on in the breakfast area. This is annoying for those of us who do not subscribe to the network's propaganda. Local news or other programming should be on instead. There are also a few government assisted folks living here as I've come to notice this trend in other towns as well. Don't be alarmed. They are pretty harmless.
We have been here several times and the staff there have been great, we checked the room out first and found the first one had a bit of a strange musty smell to it, guess it needs new carpets or something but they offered another room and that was fine. The staff do go out of their way to help and nothing was too much trouble to them. Breakfast is ok, not brilliant but adequate and fresh and they have coffee, tea and juice available all the time which is great and they even let us fill our travel mugs when we left. We would stay again without doubt.
