Overall 3.7/5. It’s affordable and you get your money’s worth. Recent upgrades were made to some of the rooms and pool area, which is a huge win. Check in was fast and efficient; this is the second time staying at the resort and they accommodated my early check in again, which I was extremely grateful for. A few things can be improved, mainly upgrading the beach view villas. Another pleasant experience at Divi Southwinds; I will return again in he near future.

We were first placed in The Villas...What a dump! Management reacted quickly moved us to avery nice room in the main building the next day and comped us dinner Monday night. I would suggest that you advise Divi NOT TO RENT ANY OF THE CONDOS IN THE VILLAS(700 BLOCK OF ROOMS) to your clients.

The staff was not friendly at all. We felt like we were inconveniencing them whenever we asked them for any services. The Pure Ocean restaurant has delicious food, but staff was not friendly. The phones in room did not work. Overall, the resort was clean, the grounds were well kept, and the location was good. We just wish the staff was nicer.

We arrived at the hotel at 2:30 and we could not checkin because check in was at 4 pm and the rooms were not ready so we decided to go and get something to eat. When we got back the rooms still was not ready . We had 2 rooms booked and we didn’t get the first room until 5:20. We had a party to go to so we all had to get ready in that room. At 6 we went to check if the other room was ready and it still wasn’t. I didn’t get my room until I came back from my party at 10:30 pm . The room was nice , but we had no hot water and room room was filled with mosquitos. We called about the water and they did t show up until day two. They finally moved us on the third day. We spend 7 days and there was no WiFi. After complaining they finally told us it crashed . After speaking to other guest that was complaining about the hotel we found out that there was no WiFi for over a week. Pool was nice but not beach because is was covered in thick sea weed

We received welcome rum punches by the bar which is bomb. Upon entry to the room you can tell it needed to be updated. Our last two days the AC stopped working. When the technician fixed it we noticed the AC unit started to leak water. The hotel restaurant food was good. We actually preferred their lunch over their breakfast however. What sucked was that there was no late night room service and I always had the late night munchies. The facilities such as the pool was good. Didn’t get to experience much else since we came down here for the crop over festivities.

Room not ready when we arrived but they treated us to dinner and welcome drinks. Rooms were spacious with good pools and activities center. Lovely beach. Approx. 60% of hotel is being renovated, so there is construction noise during the day and early evening. Stay at the beach and enjoy happy hour. Will definitely be back.

Hotel is in a great location close to the beach and other revenues. The room was nice and clean. Some of the hotel is in need of repair. All in all a nice place to stay

Divi needs a lot of up grades, next time I'll stay somewhere else

Great experience, wonderful - super polite staff, and this hotel was right in the middle of everything. I would most certainly stay here again.

The room was dated, needed maintenance (rusty fridge, stained floor, dirty corners, no water pressure from the shower, tub didn't drain, etc.) and the staff was for the most part rude. From check in (we were late due to weather delays) to security escort to our room, to checking out towels, to eating at the restaurant or drinking at the bar, there was a serious lack of hospitality. I love traveling, mostly in part because of the people we meet. I felt like because we paid for all-inclusive, the staff knew they were getting paid anyways so why be nice. I was highly disappointed, especially for the amount of money I paid

Staff super-nice, restaurant good for dinner, mediocre breakfast. Very convenient for beach & walking distance to many restaurants & stores. At quiet end of beach too!

The beach is beautiful and the staff is great. My big complaint was the bathroom with a toilet that did not flush properly and a busted-up shower.

The staff of Divi were extremely welcoming and friendly throughout our stay.

Check-in time was delayed over an hour. The front desk was very pleasant and made up for the delay by giving myself and my roommate extra drink tickets and also a complimentary brunch. I was hoping for a nicer pool area with a hot tub but other than that everything was fine. The walk to the beach was great and to be so close to St. Lawrence gap was wonderful. The restaurants along that strip overlooking the water had a lot of various and appetizing great choices of different foods. The ride to and from the airport was not long @ all. Overall an OK hotel

Staff was friendly and accommodating. Resolved issue in a timely manner. Overall great experience at the hotel. Location of hotel is excellent, easy access to highway and amenities.

my stay was very good .the wi-fi need improvement ,otherwise everything was great. I would stay here on my next visit

Our stay at this hotel was short. Its locations is great and we enjoyed our short stay. However there was no hot water in our room. Other than that it was enjoyed.

I have been visiting Barbados for 25 years. I have stayed at Divi south winds on numerous occasions. Accomodations have always been clean, staff is always very pleasant, The hotel has constantly been doing reneuvations. Beautiful new bar and restaraunt on the beach. I will be returning 2015.

The staff was not friendly at all. We felt like we were inconveniencing them whenever we asked them for any services. The Pure Ocean restaurant has delicious food, but staff was not friendly.
