Radisson Hotel St. Joseph

3.0 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

Gross. Falling apart and filthy. I can’t believe Radisson allows their name to be associated with this hotel.

Room was very musty smelling. Also had electrical conduit falling off the wall. Bed was comfortable. Dirty bath. No bath vent to draw moist air out-probably biggest culprit to the musty smell. Seemed like room hadn't been used for several months. Pool was closed for repairs. Luggage carts need repairs. Weeds growing uncontrolled outside on property. Check-in clerk was helpful, but absolutely no other staff ever even acknowledged us. Other guests there were few in number, but friendly and also seemed disappointed. Location was downtown, but several blocks away was a wonderful river walking/biking path. I went on a 1 hr walk and it was sensational. Very few restaurants in the area. Most eating/shopping is located on the other side of town.

This hotel wasn't a disaster, but it's in serious need of updating. Desk person was more interested in smoking than working the counter. Hallways, restaurant were nearly deserted and it looks like there has been water damage in the restaurant that hasn't been fixed or addressed. Just a tired, worn out building with no life. Surprised Radisson would allow its brand to be used with such a building. City of SJ needs to make development a higher priority in this end of downtown.

Will not stay there again. Room was dirty. Bathtub was disgusting. Rollaway had springs poking out the end.

All you need plus a few extras. Quiet, clean room. Pool and exercise room nice. Restaurant OK but very limited selection.

Comfortable rooms and friendly staff. Restaurant needs better menu - very limited. Pool was not open week I was there.

Bad part of town.... friendly staff but pool area dirty pool was Ice cold.. hot tub had no water in it... dirty dishes laying on a shelf next to elevator.... room was ok but dirty... lights didn't work in room.

The room had water damage that needed to be repaired. Our curtains were dirty and stained. In addition the walls had stains and need to be cleaned up. The bathtub did not appear to be clean. The bottom portion was stained and gave the appearence of dirt and grime. The rollaway bed was dusty. I would have enjoyed my room more and felt better about my stay if these simple things would have been cared for and repaired. The service in the restaurant was slow.

Expected more considering it was a Radisson and 3 1/2 stars. Kind of dingy and the pillows were huge and hard. The description made the room seem like it had a pull out couch bed but it does not have that option on the dbl queen. The toiletries were nice. TV remote didn't work. Neighborhood is really run down. Not good for families but I'm sure it's fine for adults or business.

Hotel was ok, stayed there because it had a hot tub. Got there hot tub was out of order, really wish there was a way they could have let us know via online etc. Also NO free breakfast and no hotel guide in room, had to manually switch TV over to the HDMI setting every time we shut it off. Have stayed at multiple hotels in St. Joseph it is probably or 5th choice down there now. If you need downtown convenience it's a good hotel to stay at.

Really only had dinner And slept here. Rooms were very nice and clean. Ate in restaurant and food was pretty good.

Did not have wash cloths in rooms. Had room service and they did not bring forks and knifes to eat with. So they remade the the food that took 30 min for pancakes and french toast and the forgot the forks again. I had to walk down to the restaurant and get my own and their wasn't a waitress in their at that time. Also so could not swim because their was a party and then they cleaned it all Sunday morning.

The lobby and associated amenities were lovely, beautifully appointed with marble floors and classic woodwork. The room was OK but could use some work as it a panel off the wall for some kind of plumbing repairs and the outside door handle only worked if you pulled up, counterintuitive.

My wife and I spent a very pleasant night at this property. Downtown St. Joseph isn't exactly a hopping place, but there are many great old houses, churches and museums a few blocks from this Holiday Inn. We paid a little extra for the breakfast option and it was well worth the cost. If the options are between this location and the generic places on the Interstate, I suggest you take the bypass to this fine place.

Beautiful lobby, excellent staff - Friendly professional & hardworking. You get upstairs and realize that this hotel is a bit old & worn, even though it is kept well. Works fine for a place to crash.

We did enjoy our room and stay at this holiday inn, it is just strange that a hotel at this cost doesn't have a continental breakfast. Otherwise, clean spacious room and quiet.

We were in town for an event at the Civic Arena and this location was perfect!! Friendly staff!

Stayed here twice. Can't say enough about the staff. Arrived extremely late both times. Host was alert and friendly. Room was clean & comfortable.

Had a great short visigt. Room was great, restaurant was wonderful.

Although the hotel was in the process of remodeling, it was a very nice stay. This was our second to last stop before arriving home. The staff was very courteous and friendly. We ate at the restaraunt located in the hotel, Houlihans, had a Tuscan Salad that was absolutely wonderful. The Rosemary Chicken was delicious also. It was a good stay as we make our journey home from our two week vacation. The huge pool and lounging area, which was closed for renovations, would be great for a family of any size when it reopens.
