Gloria welcomed us and offered a choice of two rooms, I decided on the one upstairs as it suited us better. We had a huge bathroom. Gloria prepares wonderful breakfasts for you. I enjoyed meeting fellow travellers around the breakfast table. We found two really good restaurants nearby which were near other highly rated restaurants. Gloria recommended a good walk on our way north after leaving the B&B.
Our family absolutely loved our stay at this b&b. We were only in town for three nights and wish we could have stayed all week. Gloria and James were so welcoming and the breakfast was delicious every morning. Our room was beautiful and comfortable for two adults and one child. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!
My husband and I stayed 4 nights at Squamish Highlands B&B whilst visiting family in Squamish. Gloria and James have a beautiful home in a residential area of Squamish that gives a panoramic western view of the mountains. Their hospitality was warm, helpful, gracious and professional. Our room was spacious, clean and quiet with all the needed amenities. Breakfasts were superb! - served in a timely manner. Excellent.
Gloria and James have a beautiful home with a breathtaking view of the mountains. The room itself was exquisitely decorated; they really took care of every little detail. The bed was cozy and warm and the wifi was great. The breakfast that Gloria served in the morning reflected the same attention to detail that they do with the rest of their house. While we were here for only one night, I could imagine spending a week and just relaxing as this is surely an amazing place to get away.
The view from their home is magnificent. The surprise is that Gloria is a trained chef, and breakfast was eggs benedict artfully presented with asparagus spears, orange slices and blueberry yoghurt. Turkey sausage was also served. One caveat: There are a lot of steps here as the home is set upon a steep hill. Our rental car was able to make it up the steep drive, but if yours won't that's one flight of steps from the road. There is a flight of steps from the top of the driveway to the front door. Then you will climb one or two more flights to your room. We are 70 years of age and were able to climb to our room on the top floor (where the best views are). It's a lot for older folk with heavy luggage, so we took only the overnight items we needed. If we visit Squamish again, we would eagerly return here if we are still able to negotiate the stairs.
This bed and breakfast was such a delight to stay at. Our host was extremely sweet and friendly, making our stay cozy as if we were right at home. The room was spacious and clean. The location and view of the building was absolutely gorgeous! If you’re looking for a place to stay in Squamish or near Whistler, I’d highly recommend. Breakfast was homecooked and so delicious. The best eggs benedict I’ve ever had. Totally worth it! We wish we could’ve stayed longer :)
A real gem, truly. I found it as it was the highest ranked hotel on an hotel booking app and it was definitely well deserved! Great room with a very big bathroom and the entire house is very well decorated with an amazing wood flooring. The owners are very polite and friendly, we had very nice conversations and they tried their best to give us every day a different breakfast (very well presented). A few reviews mention the steep access road..to make it clear: yes, it is steep to walk there but there are some stairs as well and, parking-wise, you will never go up with your car as there's plenty of space to park in the street below. Regarding the panorama from the room...well, it's true, at least in this season, you are more likely to have a better view of the valley from the room rather than hiking in some areas closeby Squamish (great hikes but clearly when it's very foggy you go for the experience rather than Instagrammable pictures!)
Marianne and John were excellent hosts; very kind and generous. The breakfasts were delcious and the room was very clean and had an amazing view. All in all it was a great experience and I would definitely stay again.
Stunning views from room and balcony, large room, spotlessly clean property. Owners, Marianne and John, were friendly and helpful. Great value for cost. We highly recommend and will return to the property.
The breakfast was amazing and the view is breathtaking. The daisy room had a jacuzzi that made the experience super relaxing and it's near enough to downtown to use the bike but not walking distance. The owners are warm and don't bother you but are always ready to help.
