My husband and I stayed here for three nights in October during a two-week trip around IL and MO. The doors to the rooms were made of wood; the first time we'd seen that in a hotel. This made you feel like you were coming home after a day of sightseeing. The room and bathroom were large and clean. This is a little thing, but the toilet paper holder in the bathroom was in just the right spot. Even the cover on the sofa in the room was a nice print that made the room feel homier than a hotel room. It was great to have so many restaurants so close by. The hotel was full when we were there and I think the breakfast person was overwhelmed. She ran out of eggs, there were no English muffins, etc. When the eggs finally came out, there was too much pepper in the eggs (we'd never seen that at a Comfort Suites before) and my husband couldn't eat them. We ate out for breakfast the next morning, but on the third morning, we tried the breakfast again and it was fine (except for the peppery eggs). Anyway, I would highly recommend this hotel. We are Choice Hotel platinum members and this was one of the best Comfort Suites we ever stayed in.
All staff were very friendly and welcoming not just reception. The room was good we got two beds in our room but I and my wife could not sleep in one bed together as we found the bed small. This was not an issue as there was another bed so I just slept in that bed. Breakfast was great and you could do your own waffles,
My job takes me on the road over 50 nights a year and when I am in Springfield my choice of hotels is the Comfort Suites on Dirksen Parkway. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.....even when I am the one that made the mistake. It is also very welcoming when Erica says "Welcome Mr. McClaughry" as soon as I walk through the doors. The rooms are always clean and a warm "hello" by the entire staff in the morning. When on a business trip or family fun in Springfield I highly recommend the Comfort Suites on Dirksen Parkway
Great location. Really friendly staff. (But not too friendly.) Chip activated room keys. Walk in shower. Really comfortable office chair. Really comfortable bed. Good price. Breakfast was pretty average for a hotel.
The Comfort Suites in Springfield, IL. was pretty sweet. The hotel offers a great and comprehensive complimentary breakfast in a beautiful dining area The hotel also offers a business center, if needed. The indoor pool was nice touch. I did not take advantage of the workout room. I may have over slept. But I did see it and saw that it offered options. The rooms themselves are clean and well designed. There is nothing typical about them. They have a look and feel to them that is very unique. Very warm and inviting. Just like the staff. The people were very friendly and incredibly helpful. The Comfort Suites is the place to in Springfield, IL.
Stayed at this lovely hotel for our girls getaway. Very clean and accommodating. Helpful and friendly. Close to restaurants even walking distance. 5 miles to downtown Springfield and closer to Lincolns Tomb. Will stay again if in the area.
Stayed here for weekend. Attended Luke Bryan concert on Friday and stayed the weekend. Very clean and quiet. Breakfast was typical food eggs, sausage, cereal, waffles but was kept hot. First day we got there towards closing but girl did bring out hot eggs and sausage for us. Would definitely stay here again.
This is by far the best Comfort Suites I have stayed in a very long time. I had almost given up on finding decent Choice Hotels and I have investigated changing brand loyalties, but this property could change that for me. We came from Nashville, TN for a wedding. The hotel was very accommodating to our early check-in request since we wanted to change clothes before the wedding. The room is immaculate and large. The breakfast—the best I’ve had (my husband was especially complimentary—he’s hard to please). Love this property—the only problem is that this is the first time I’ve been to Springfield and possibly the last. If I came here on a regular basis, I would always stay here.
My husband and I have been traveling for 3 weeks, from KS to the East Coast and back. This was by far the nicest motel we have stayed in! Large rooms, comfortable bed, friendly staff, nothing negative to say. It was also one of the cheapest! Would definitely recommend.
Our room was a little noisy due to street traffic. We were switched to a quieter, bigger room immediately! The manager, Sarah, couldn't have been more helpful. We were visiting the Lincoln sights. Sarah provided helpful information that we couldn't have gotten from anyone but a local. It allowed us to see more and enjoy it more fully. Very happy with our stay here.
