Available for the legendary 85th Sturgis Motorcycle Rally! Just minutes from Spearfish Canyon, 17 miles from Sturgis, 12 miles from historic Deadwood and 1 hour from Mt. Rushmore and Custer State Park. It is the perfect access point for your week of activities. Enjoy the rally without the crowds.

Built in1895 by the first mayor of Spearfish, this charming 2-story Victorian home is located in the heart of downtown, within walking distance of shopping, entertainment & dining. 360° views of the Queen City’s peaks can be seen around the large property with an amazing outdoor space that will have you lounging and enjoying your favorite beverage.

This 3 bedroom, 2 bath home sleeps 6 with space for extras and has 10 foot ceilings, hardwood floors, gorgeous pocket doors, a claw foot tub and large rooms for entertaining. An updated kitchen with brick oven is perfect for preparing meals equipped with gas stove, oven, refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher.

The first floor has kitchen, dining room, office, living room & full bath. The upstairs has three bedrooms (1 king, 2 queens), TV room with sectional and a full bath.

Outside there is a front porch with rocking chairs and a porch swing. At the back of the house is an upper and lower deck with TV and Solo Stove firepit. Parking is available in the 2-stall garage, on a private drive as well as on street. Plenty of room if you are pulling a trailer.

Best location and great host

We came to Spearfish for a bike race and this was the perfect location. Plenty of hot water for hot showers after a dusty bike race. Melissa was so helpful and answered all our questions (so happy we got to meet you). I would highly recommend this house.

An older but comfortable home.

It was obvious that much attention was given to detail to make our stay comfortable. There were fresh flowers on the counter and travel sized bottle of shampoo, conditioner, bath gel, and toothpaste. There were plenty of fluffy white towels and a new bag of coffee for the Bun coffee maker. The kitchen was recently remodeled and the decor throughout was very welcoming. My only frustrations were those associated with an old house, like squeaky floors and inadequate wiring in the upstairs bathroom. Overall, I would recommend this house.

We had a great time staying at the Haught House! So close to everything (we were in town for the Dakota 5.0 bike race) and plenty of great space to relax and recover. The house is very well kept and exceeded our expectations. Thank you so much!

Nice place, very clean and functional. Did not experience the great communication I read about in other reviews. Booked pretty last minute (4 days in advance) and despite initial email accepting our stay request, heard nothing else in regards to check in instructions. Had to contact VRBO customer service to help get the information we needed. We have stayed at many VRBO properties before, and have never felt "strange" about it. This home was different as all the owners personal items were there, closets full of clothes. Just wasn't what we were used to. On our last night, storms caused electricity to go out early in the morning. No access to basement to be able to reset the breaker. Text to owner was not responded to for several hours.

The house is spacious, comfortable and very clean. The location couldn't be much better for getting to any of the shops, restaurants and coffee shops in downtown by foot. Melissa was extremely responsive to all my emails and easy to communicate with. I highly recommend this house.

Nice home base for a Black Hills vacation
