I would not stay here again. My husband & I stayed here with two other couples, a 14 yr old, and our 10 month old. We enjoyed the house and the amenities and the house was clean and wonderful. But the communication before our stay & the experience afterwards was less than ideal. I reached out several times in the 2 weeks leading up- never got a response back. Day before & day of, I messaged, called, and I reached out to VRBO for support after we still had not received instructions an hour before scheduled check-in. I couldn't get any confirmation about our reservation. We were driving to Okoboji for LDW (4 hour drive for us) not knowing if we were catfished or if we'd have a house to stay in for 7 people & a baby, and that was extremely stressful. We finally received check-in instructions 40 mins before scheduled check-in. The address was not correct in the check-in instructions (luckily the right one was in the VRBO app). At check-out, we cleaned & tidied. Followed instructions & checked-out early. Next day I find the host submitted a 2200 claim against me, saying I ruined a brand new mattress. There was no stain on the sheets or mattress pad when I stripped the sheets, and we disagree on if the stain was there before or not. Be careful if you book this place & get the travel insurance. Do not submit a "refundable" security deposit. Other notes - their personal fridge downstairs had the worst stench. And the sand bottle provided for the shuffle board was empty.

We did have miscommunications from VERBORegarding access. Tricky in entering with combination and unable to lock upon departure. Interior was clean and neat however exterior was unkempt and upper deck could use more furniture. A printed procedure on how to handle recyclables And trash would be helpful as containers were full upon arrival and dates for pickup were unavailable as well as what we should do on departure.
