We stayed here for one night. The restaurant is like a cafeteria or school canteen. The food was ok but very little choices. Rooms are very basic too. It was handy for our requirements but not sure I would stay here again.
If you are flying from Doncaster Airport and want a convenient overnight stay with parking whilst away this hotel fits the bill. It is nothing special, just a basic hotel. But it is excellent for a preflight overnight stay, offering breakfast and a short walk to departures
Wanted a place close to airport for a very early next day flight. Rooms ok and what we expected from these kind of hotels. Food in bar was good but nothing special. The one thing we did find was the bar area was cold and lacked atmosphere, at least two TV's on fairly high volume with a music channel on and nobody was slightly interested. More annoying than entertaining. All in all we won't be staying again.
We were going to a party at the Mount Pleasant and wanted to stay close by, somewhere reasonably priced. The parking was secure, which is a plus point these days. The room was clean, the power shower was particularly good and the towels and bedding were all clean. The room wasn’t luxurious but it isn’t that kind of hotel and at £59 for two of us it definitely wasn’t a luxurious price..this hotel was excellent value for money. We didn’t have the breakfast I felt it was a bit steep at £17 for two but that’s just a personal point of view. We got a taxi return to Mount Pleasant which cost us £17. So £76 which was half the price of a room at the Mount Pleasant so really pleased. Would recommend this hotel for either the airport or for a night in Doncaster.
Stayed overnight not for the airport but for a function nearby. Reception and bar staff were friendly but they weren't rushed off their feet. Room clean but the Aircon took some working out as the room was chilly on arrival. The bed though was very uncomfortable and squeaky. Just remember it's an airport hotel and the main reason for its use is the fact you might have an early morning flight. So doors slamming at 3 or 4 am may be common.
Everything was great, the only negative was been charged £12.95 for a Chicago town stuff crust pizza when they are £3 in the shops, bit extreme! Other than that everything was great and we would stay again when flying from Doncaster airport the location was fab and I would recommend to friends.
We stayed here for 1 night on 30th March, due to the convenient location for the airport. The check-in process was very straightforward and we had a room on the 2nd floor. The rooms are basic, but clean and functional. There were 4 of us staying, 2 adults and 2 children, the second bed is a double rather than 2 singles, but this wasn't the end of the world. We ate in the restaurant and the food was cooked well. For the price, this was a very reasonable stay, we would certainly use this hotel again.
We stayed for one night on the 30th March. Check in was quick and painless. We were allocated a room but later changed (it had an adjoining door which are never soundproof). Our room was clean and functional. The hotel doesn’t have any king size beds only doubles or twins which didn’t really suit our preferences. Check out was quick. It’s within walking distance to the airport and parking was ok. The only issue we had was the 10+ minute queue for the bar when we arrived, only two staff members around, one serving food and the other fiddling with the till roll at the bar. No management present.
We did book last minute but at a cost of 69 pounds per room we expected better. Not very clean. Not enough bedding asked for more and given another quilt with no cover on which smelt so bad it couldnt be used. No sign of any staff most of the time and when they were they were not overly friendly. Not rude but totally disinterested. 69 pounds for 1 person with no breakfast very overpriced.
Booked last minute as had 6am flight and snow was building up locally so wanted to avoid early morning drive in deteriorating road conditions, good decision as roads closed following day. Car park had a few inches of snow so had to guess parking space. Check-in straightforward, room was comfortable enough and once heating system kicked in warm enough too. Reception most helpful with wi-fi problems with our i-pad which were soon solved. Bed was fine and decent range of TV channels. Shower effective. Reception rang with early morning wake-up call and check-out easy. As hotel is only 1/4 mile from airport terminal the stopover is ideal for the price - will use again if we have another early flight from Robin Hood.
