Odd location in that the hotel appears to be in the middle of an industrial estate. And pretty much it is. But that said, plenty of parking, a warm friendly and efficient welcome. Room was of a good size, well equipped, good aircon, high speed WiFi included, clean and tidy. Did have light evening meal in the small restaurant. Staff were welcoming and the food selection was fine. Food arrived swiftly, well presented and very flavourfull. Good buffet selection for breakfast and imagine the breakfast area could get crouded at busy times, but was a perfectly good breakfast. I have stayed in many budget hotels and I would rate this as one of the best. Hotel is buy a busy road but effecient double glazing kept out much of the noise. Couldn't say it was quiet, but certainly didn't appear to be noisy.
We were visiting the Doncaster Dome for a concert and selected the Park for its value and proximity. Although it is part of the Radison group it is more of the budget end. However we had a comfortable stay, the rooms and showers were good. We booked dinner, bed and breakfast but found dinner didn't start until 7pm. There was the 24 hour menu available and so we enjoyed soup and a pizza, both excellent. Staff were very helpful and pleasant, no complaints there. It is in a bit of a strange place, more an industrial estate, but very close to the shopping centre.
Arrived to shady looking youths smoking outside the entrance (need to sort a better smoking area out). Room was very basic, but clean. No heating had been put on in the room (middle of winter) so it was absolutely freezing and never really warmed up - cold in bed. Fire alarm went off at 6.45am - no doubt people smoking in their rooms! So much for the lie in! And then breakfast...... they had run out of everything - replacement items came one at a time, there were beans all over the floor - it was a shambles and not worth the money paid. We never complained at the time, but wish I had now. Serious improvements needed here. Has tarnished the Radisson brand for me. Premier Inn next time.
Don't stay at the Park Inn Doncaster if you're looking for somewhere with a romantic and scenic setting. It's in an industrial part of Doncaster, surrounded by factories and warehouses, freight depots and distribution centres. The external appearance doesn't help, being a square metal-clad box on a hard-to-spot side road, although there is the Lakeside Shopping Centre at the other side of a busy dual carriageway. But - park your car and push through the entrance doors and you're in an airy reception with friendly welcoming staff, a small bar, and an area for meals and breakfast. Our spacious room had 2 proper beds - not the double-and-sofabed setup of some other budget chains - and no creaky floors either! We had the usual open shelves and hanging rails, a desk with large TV, quiet and efficient aircon/heating, hairdrier and amenity tray, good complimentary wifi, and 2 comfy chairs. The bathroom was compact and had a large shower cubicle instead of a bath, an arrangement we prefer. There were a couple of small maintenance items - worn/chipped furmiture and a slightly whiffy toilet - but this is good quality accomodation. Breakfast was at sensible times and was taken downstairs, with a good choice of hot and cold items in appropriate quantities. This was our first stay at a Park Inn - our usual choices of budget hotel are PI or HIEx - but we were well impressed, especially after our initial views on the location. And after all, the town centre and racecourse are only a short drive away. Definitely one to add to the list.
Lovely welcome by friendly East European receptionist, large room with Air con though not quite working 100%, All other staff helpful, bathroom simple but clean and great shower. Very good value for 4 of us.
Basic hotel but rooms are large, clean and comfortable. Comfortable bed.Bonus that this hotel allowed dogs for a reasonable charge. Staff were all nice and friendly. Breakfast was excellant. Thank you an enjoyable stay. Very impressed.
non descript new building contrasted with interior my room had a king size large size phillips tv room very quiet despite cars parked just outside window icame here ona coach trip for Hogmanay everyone raved about their room & the food
Faultless. The manager of this hotel deserves a pay rise! The place was spotless and the service second to none. The buffet dinner laid on for our group of approx 20 was delicious and I challenge anyone to not have been able to find something they liked to eat (although there had to be one rude guest in our group who did nothing but moan). Thankfully this person was not with my friend and I. This same person moaned again the following morning and the manager had the patience of a saint. The breakfast was hot and plentiful and, again, we could not fault it. For the price we paid I can honestly say it could not have been better. I would have paid a lot more and still been happy. I have paid a lot more for a lot less. Highly recommended.
I was pleasantly surprised, the room was clean, comfortable and spacious The reception staff are efficient and helpful I would stay again as this is good value and provides a comfortable stay in a convenient location
