Ocean front retreat

We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 night stay. The location is perfect for fishing, as well as going to restaurants. Can’t wait until our next visit.

Clean, comfortable place, comfortable beds. Please provide coffee filters! Other items such as saran wrap, more kitchen towels, sugar, tea would be good too.

Great Location and Views

Stayed there for 1 night. It was raining so we stayed inside. The place accommodated us with no problems. The kitchen had everything we needed. The instructions and communication was great. The place is comfortable but starting too show some wear and tear. The carpets could have used a cleaning or replacing. Would stay there again if in the area.

Wifi did kot work at all. And we emailed the management office to ask how to access wifi , however no reply at all. My friends who was supposed to do businesses conferences at night couldn't attend any meetings. Big trouble happened to her and other friends could not enjoy the staying either. The wifi issue ruined our trip. It was so terrible!!!! You have to solve thia issue right away. Otherwise, future visitors will definitely have the same sufferings!

Oceanside family home

Property itself was very clean and as advertised. Kitchen had lots of tools. Was very frustrated with the access code only being sent at the last second, especially when the area we were coming from had very spotty cell service. And because of the spotty cell service we didn't receive the message our unit wouldn't be ready in time which was very difficult to juggle with our toddler. Later that evening we realized the cable wasn't functioning, and the effort required to get it resolved was too much - too many hoops and timings to work around. They did resolve our issue with missing shampoo fairly easily. The other is the phone number left to call for off hours assistance doesn't lead to the right number - when we finally got a human there, they directed us to another number, where we only got a voicemail.

Great location to explore Vancouver Island

Sooke is well situated to enjoy both Victoria [30 min] and the wild beaches. Lots of hiking and beaches. A couple of good testarants. Route 14 was our favorite. Not much room to cook or utensils. Bring your own big pot - fresh live crab literally next door. Dadly we had no way to cook it. Sent a question to the management at time of booking (about a month ahead). It was never answered. All bedroom are either up or down stairs - not good for mobility challenged. The beds were good. Having three BR / 3 bath in our unit was AWESOME. There were 6 chairs at the dining room table but only one small couch and one armchair to lounge in for reading or TV watching. I would still go again. Would like to go in the summer next time to enjoy Potholes Provincial Park and more beach hikes. Days were short, rainy and chilly in Dec.
