This lovely, quiet retreat is located right on the Soldiers Point foreshore, only a short stroll (300m) from restaurants, cafes and tennis courts. Take a walk, throw a line in, enjoy a swim, bask in the morning sunrises, and enjoy the public picnic and BBQ facilities along the foreshore. Soldiers Point boat ramp is 250m away and is a great place to fish, view pelicans feeding off fish scraps and enjoy breathtaking sunsets. Wanda Beach shops are only 2.5km away offering village shops, takeaways, a bakery and butcher, plus more, and the thriving Nelson Bay CBD is 10km away.

Step inside to an airy, open plan living area with a comfortable lounge suite, a 42" LCD TV, DVD, and a 6-seater dining setting, alongside a modern, well equipped kitchen with microwave, fridge and full cooking facilities, and a breakfast bar with bar stools. A front balcony with outdoor setting faces the waterfront with nothing but the ocean, trees and headlands to interfere. Sit back, relax and enjoy the breathtaking, panoramic view.

The main bedroom features a queen bed with built-in robe, and the 2nd bedroom has 2 single beds, a TV and DVD player. The bathroom offers a bath, shower, and separate powder room, and an internal laundry offers a washing machine and clothes dryer. Allocated parking is available opposite the locked garages.

Don't Stay Here - the worst holiday rental we've ever stayed at

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were meant to stay here for 2 nights but checked out after just one night.Upon entering the department you can smell the rising damp in the walls. The place is generally dirty (bed frames, blinds etc haven't been cleaned in years). The things you don't see in the pictures besides the rising damp, peeling wall paper, missing tabs, missing light fittings, no extra blankets in winter, toilet that must 50 years old and the list goes on and on. We did notify Winnings immediately that we didn't think the property was worth the nearly $400 a night rate and they initially did come back and offered to send a cleaner and raise the issue with "upper management " however now 3 weeks later, nobody has bothered to get in touch with us or respond to our emails or return phone calls. I'd never book a property again through Winning Holidays cause they either clearly didn't inspect the property beforehand or don't care that their customers have a terrible holiday experience.

Nice View, Great Location, Older Style Appartment

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was excellent, right on the water and could sit and look out. The apartment was a little run down, especially considering the asking price for rental. The beds in the second bedroom sank into the center. The water heater is very small and did not last for four people showering. The kitchen was very well stocked for cutlery, utensils and plates.

Horrible

This listing was just disgusting, horrible mouldy smell coming from bathroom and newsrooms. Old and worn furniture and kitchenware. Couldn’t sleep in the apartment. Cockroaches scattered the floors while some lay dead under the beds. Honestly, I have never been so disappointed. Would not recommend, even with a beautiful view, it was not worth it.

The property was comfortable and quite well appointed. Soldiers Point as delightful as ever and we were lucky with the weather. Our problems stemmed from the inefficiency of the Letting Agency. We were given the wrong App to open the container and key locker. However, we'll deal with that separately.
