Had a great Easter weekend with our family and grandchildren. The deck and fire pit are great outdoor spaces! And we enjoyed the main living area inside as well. The kitchen is a little tight, no dishwasher. The stairs from the main level to the basement are steep and narrow, more hazardous than expected. Everything worked OK, had hot showers and AC. Plenty of parking space but be prepared for all the trips up and down those outdoor stairs to haul in all your stuff - good workout for sure.
Property was perfect for our family with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Good proximity to the lake. Fantastic outdoor spaces. The property is inviting and cozy.
We came up for the weekend as a family. Cabin is nice and relatively well equipped. However neither of the grills worked, the ignitions were not functioning and the grills themselves were filthy. Also there were no pillowcases on the downstairs pillows - only shams which didn’t appear like they were regularly washed.
Zero Stars — Misleading, Filthy, Unsafe, and Still No RefundI would give this property zero stars if I could. My daughter and I left within an hour of arriving, and I’ve been fighting for a partial refund ever since—with no response and no resolution. The house was absolutely filthy. Dead mosquitoes lined the perimeter of the second floor and loft. The first-floor bathroom had dead flies. Dust and dirt covered nearly every surface. It was clear the property hadn’t been cleaned properly, if at all. I documented everything with photos. The listing was blatantly misleading. It was advertised as a “lake house” with “lake view,” “lake access,” and “boat ramp access.” In reality, the lake was tiny, not visible from the house, and the boat ramp was five minutes down the road. You’d have to walk nearly two miles to even glimpse the water. This was false advertising, plain and simple.Safety was another major concern. The house was isolated in a mountainous area surrounded by rundown homes. As we unloaded our luggage, neighbors stared us down, and the adjacent property had several aggressive Rottweilers barking nonstop. It was unsettling and felt anything but safe—especially for just my daughter and me.To make matters worse, the driveway had a large ditch that made it impossible to drive up to the house. We had no choice but to park at the bottom of the hill and haul our luggage up a long, steep incline just to reach the front door—only to turn around and leave an hour later.
