The hotel have nice and helpful personal , but the room need a little improvents. The door lock react slow or not at all. The key card demagnetizes .The pool is ok . Decent breakfast , but poor fruit offer.
The hotel is in the center of Sinaia. You can reach easily what you want to visit: cable transport or tele-gondola, Peles Castle or Sinaia monastery. The best restaurants are very close than the hotel. The cleaning in the room could be made better even if the hotel is old and crowded. But the best point is breakfast which is much diversified and you can choose almost anything you want to eat and drink. The staff is pretty friendly but more smiles don’t cost anything. Generally, the hotel deserves that 4 stars.
This started as a communist style hotel and has been modernised. the spa, pool and sauna are a highlight. the room was fine, though the shower over the bath was rather basic. It's a reasonable choice but we're glad we only stayed one night there. Free wi-fi but it only really worked in the foyer.
I stayed in room no.308, 3th floor, it has a nice view on the center of Sinaia and great location, close to points of interest. This hotel doesn t have air conditioner and that is sure a problem, the stuff was friendly , the breakfast ok, good coffee but the espresso machines broked every day :)) ,nice view also at the terrace where you can eat your breakfast and nice ladies were cooking pancakes in front of us :) Maybe we will come back to try the pool, didn t have time for that!
With a relatively short time to have lunch in Sinaia before travelling on to our next destination, we chose to have a bar meal in this hotel adjacent to where our coach was parked and very good it was too. The food was freshly prepared and my croque madame sandwich, though perhaps not exactly what you would be offered in Paris, was hot and delicious, as were the sandwiches selected by my two travelling companions. The staff were friendly and attentive without being intrusive and the bill was sensibly priced for the location.
Certainly not a 4-stars hotel. Furniture , fixtures, overall appearance is dated. Bathrooms are clean (not sparkling clean, there are spots of mold). Complimentary toiletries not at all appealing, had to buy. Beds are comfortable, bedding too warm for summer. No air conditioning. All in all, I believe the hotel is too pricey for what it offers and it should be considered only if you're not planning to spend too much time inside, if you consider bringing your own soap/shampoo/shower gel even for a 1-2 nights stay and if you really need a downtown option. PS. Although the room was facing the main boulevard, it wasn't noisy. That's a plus, considering the location.
We stayed only 3 nights but was very nice. We enjoyed by the pool and jacuzzi, the room was clean and the view from the balcony was directly to the mountain. The breakfast was the same every morning, dut good. We return for sure
Lynn and I and ten friends recently spent three nights in the New Montana Hotel. We were part of a group of 40 touring travelers as a post trip after an Eastern Europe river cruise. Our room was clean, but small with twin beds and a small bathroom with a tub. Lynn liked that. . Rooms on the west side of the hotel had balconies. We did not have a balcony. There is no air-conditioning in this hotel which is probably okay in the Spring and Fall, but it was quite hot when we were there in the middle of the Summer. Altitude here is about 2600 feet. The hotel is in a beautiful spot right in the center of this small alpine town. Our room included a breakfast buffet that was pretty average with coffee, some fruit and over medium eggs. There was also a huge group of well over 100 electrical workers that was going on at the same time which made the buffet lines for breakfast huge. All things considered I would stay at this hotel again.
Stayed one night on a road trip type holiday in the summer. It was a pleasant enough stay and the staff where friendly and helpful. Although the room was as good as I think you would get around here the bathroom was not quit up to standards and could have been cleaner. The pool hot-tub and sauna where open to the public so it's more like a publicly pool and not that clean. The breakfast included Was quit good fresh food, omelettes made in front of you. Over all for the price it's not to bad. We paid 280 Ron for a double for the night.
Excellent organising of New Year: we were so impressed that we came back for Easter! Very good menu, the swimming pool is an asset and the visitors very elegant people as the photos can show! Dicious food! Good for Romanian citizens living abroad and inviting expats: global top notch quality! Ana-Cristina (Bruxelles)
