The room was VERY dirty. (Pee stains on sheets, then weird sticky stuff in table). Then around 3 am, the person in the room started banging incessantly on the wall adjoining my room. The hotel says "24 hour security" but there is NO security on site. Fearing something was wrong, I called Silver City Police Department. They came and checked it out. However the resident in the room next to me would not answer the door to the police. I reluctantly went back to my room (given no other choice than to sleep in my car). I received almost NO sleep whatsoever. I have reported this to the hotel and submitted a request for a refund. It turns out that the staff admits they know this person has 'mental issues' and has been a nuisance before to other guests. The hotel is 2)3 rds empty so not sure why I was forced into a difficult situation. Add to that the uncleanliness of the room. Add to that ZERO "security". The hotel says it's now in the hands of Expedia as they are willing to issue a refund. I rarely ask for such a thing, but the sole purpose was to get a good night's sleep. Guests should t have to sleep on 'pee stains' nor fear for their lives and have to call the cops at 3 am. I am politely expecting a full refund.
