Scrumptious . Sarah the chef and all her team brilliant. Anna and nico on reception so helpful.we will be back. Thank you all . Michael and Sarah
We stayed for a few nights in late September. Rooms were large and very clean, bathroom Ok shower was a bit tight in size and doors allowed water to leak over floor. Very friendly staff in reception and restaurant only thing was we couldn't understand the menu so would be great for English translation by each dish. We didn't have much atmosphere as there were only about 3 couples staying. Also the ad said wi-fi in rooms but we didn't have any service. All in all we had a good holiday, weather was fantastic.
After two weeks of visiting big cities and tourist spots it was really nice to get out into a more rural setting. If you are driving to places around Tuscany this could be your ideal base. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. The service, especially at the front desk and at the restaurant, was truly outstanding. Breakfast is a full breakfast, not just pastries. If fresh fish is on the menu, try it. The wild boar is also very tasty. The pool area needs some attention.
It was early June during our stay, so the outdoor recreation area appeared unready for guests. I have broken this review into two sections: The very good and recommendations for improvement. The very good: The hotel was very comfortable, nice beds, a functional room and a lovely restaurant. The outdoor area is nice with a river in the foreground, a swimming pool, lovely trees and lots of birdlife. The restaurant is very nice and the service is exceptional. The food is very good as well. The young lady at the front desk was wonderful and very helpful and spoke very good English. Recommendations for improvement: The runners or mats in the hallways need replacing. The hotel sign adjacent to the highway needs to be replaced with a more attractive one. The current one is worn and gives a misrepresentation of the property. A new access to the property might be worthwhile as the current entrance passes directly to the side of a truck stop motel, that is very unattractive. Staff must be given a private area for smoking. It is very unattractive and unhealthy for guests to have staff smoking outside the main entrance to the hotel. The grounds need to be prepared earlier in the season. Overall we had a nice stay.
The room was very spacious and clean, with the necessary confort. teh restroom as weel was very spacious. The staff gentle and careful. Breakfast rich, ehre is strongly raccomended the "crostata" made by the kitchen staff!
Good professional waiters : kind and amusing. Food is OK. Premises and rooms are fine. One thing : The hotel is isolated and along a busy road. A refugee hotel is nearby, but there's no trouble with these poor guys.
we stayed 3 nights at the hotel. service is great the rooms are weii equiped and the resturant and breakfast are delightful. all in all a very pleasent vacation in a very affordable price. you need a car to get to and from.
We stayed one night in October. It was the end of the season and the hotel had a distinct feeling of winding down. The swimming pool was not available. The hotel building itself is a pleasant converted farmhouse, albeit rather dark inside. The beds were comfortable in the rooms and bathrooms a good size. There were no baths in the bathrooms however only "massage" showers that I barely fitted in, and which seemed to leak water all over the floor. However, the hotel was very clean. The staff were friendly and obliging. Dinner was good. Breakfast was also good. The restaurant staff were excellent. The hotel is set in quite large grounds, which the children really enjoyed. The views over the river and ancient bridge were very pleasant and interesting. The nearest town is quite some distance away, although there is a nearby service station that sells some goods and seems to have a bar attached.
We enjoyed a few days at this lovely hotel which is set in the glorious Tuscan countryside but within easy reach of Siena and Florence and also the coast. The old stone building has been fully renovated and modernised inside. The staff are very pleasant and the rooms are comfortable with traditional furniture. Our bathroom had a large multi-function shower. The grounds are spacious and back onto a river with an ancient bridge (no longer usable as it is just a ruin but very picturesque). The large swimming pool has a waterfall at one end. There are also tennis courts. The restaurant serves traditional local dishes at lunch and in the evening. There is a fairly basic, not all that inspiring, breakfast buffet but it is pleasant to have it outside on the patio. In any case the room rates are very reasonble so that seems fair enough. Not far away there is also a very good restaurant behind a service station and, being Italy, the food is excellent even if it is part of a service station and the staff there are very welcoming. We had days out in Siena, Florence, Grossetto, Pisa and various hillside villages in the surrounding area.
My husband & my 19 year old daughter are traveling thorough Tuscany driving a car we rented at Rome. We chose this place because we wanted a hotel in the middle of the countryside. When we arrived we found that nothing has to do what is published in their site. Breakfast is the worst we´d ever had, assuming we are in Tuscany were everything is natural and homemade, well here is all plastic, artificially flavored, you are lucky it you can find a clean cup to sip a tea. Rooms are clean and spacious, no A/C only ventilation, luckily this is not a typical summer week if not we will be sweating!!!! This is not a romantic getaway, its beside a truck driver´s hotel, so the entrance to the hotel is through parked trucks!!! Reception guys are nice and the WIFI works pretty well. I will not recommend this hotel if you are interested in food quality and decoration.
