Short version - stunning hotel with the best service on the planet. We had booked the larger of the two sibling hotels only to arrive and find it under renovation but they gave us a significant upgrade and a dinn and two lunches. The included breakfast was like a high end brunch. They arranged anything you desired and every time you returned there were cold towels and if they arranged a trip They sent along iced towels and cold water. Both my daughter and I ended up with significant respiratory illnesses. They not only called ahead to facilitate our being seen; they sent a staff member to stay with us and translate etc; AND they sent breakfasts to the hospital while we were waiting. As if that wasn't enough they handmade bouquets for each of us with a card hand signed by the staff. When we needed to extend our stay because we were too ill to travel, they accommodated us in the same room at the Orbitz rate. We have traveled the world extensively and this level of caring and service exceeds anything I've ever seen and I'm Platinum with two large chains!
Great service, breakfast, and ambience. $2 tuk tuk to main areas. Attentive staff goes out of their way to make you comfortable in everything with no nickel dining on anything! Two thumbs up.
This is such a fantastic hotel. The service is impeccable, the best you can find! Everywhere you go everyone greets you with a smile and ready to help you. You feel taken care of and genuinely happy. The hotel itself has a high standard, felt newly built and very modern. Decorated with fresh flowers everywhere. Rooms are perfectly clean and with a nice contemporary décor. Our impression of hotel restaurants in general is that they are over-priced and provide poor food..but definitely not here! You get great food to a good price with (again) super good service. The breakfast buffet was the best we ever had, so much to choose from and everything was as fresh as it gets. Location wise it is near the river so it is easy to find your way around. Walking distance to the biggest markets and restaurant area and the hotel has their own tuk-tuks just outside with reliable drivers ready to take you to the temples. As you understand if you read this far, we really loved the place - we planned to stay two nights but ended up a week there! This is a very personal, high class hotel and we strongly recommend it!
Hotel was confused when I showed up as to my reservation and the process took far too long as I was concerned.
It was O.K. but the A/C in my first room didn't work - they gave me another room and the A/C worked. The bed was too hard. The staff were nice though and they added pads to my mattress.
