We were delivering 3 greyhound to new homes, driving from Florida to Las Vegas. Reservations had been made by a 3rd party for a suite. These were confirmed reservations. When we arrived we were told there was no suite available and the only room was on 2nd floor with no elevator..stairs were not possible for these dogs. After the front desk person saw that we were calling our 3rd party she "found" a room on 1st floor just inside a side door..so it did work out. How is it that CONFIRMED reservations are not taken seriously? I am a Platinum Choice Privilege member and have always spoken highly of their hotels. There was a guy in front of me at front desk whose reservations could not be found...really? Both my reservations and his had been made online on Choice Hotels website....fix the site. The room was good and we got thru the night
We checked in and were told there was no elevator and we were on the second floor so luggage had to be carried upstairs. We were told to drive around the side to park near the stairway closer to our room. We were given incorrect directions and after dragging everything upstairs, we had to go back to our car where a very helpful employee said this happens all of the time. Thankfully she showed us where to go even riding in our car to show us. The stairway and entrance area at that entrance was disgusting- stained and worn and torn carpet. Our room had trash in the trash cans and in our friend’s room, there were no towels, trash in the trash cans and both rooms had mold in the bathrooms. We were told parts had been remodeled but it still wasn’t apparent. Never stay here. Not t sure where these other reviews came from.
This hotel has a beautiful atrium where food is served. We did have dinner there and it was surprisingly good. Lobby area was also nice. The stairwells and stairs did need updating. The rooms were nice and clean and beds I thought were very comfortable. They do take pets, which was important to us, for a fee and outside there is a place you can walk them and a place with bags and place to throw it away. Overall our one night stay was pleasant.
Entrance, Check-In Area, and Atrium have all been updated and are beautiful. We were in a double suite. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The room needs renovation. The paint is outdated. The kitchen area needs new cabinets and countertops. The bathroom mirror frame was peeling. The countertop was cracked and stained. The toilet was new. The shower was for someone 5’5” or shorter. The water pressure was great. It will be an excellent place to stay once renovated. The breakfast choices were decent.
First off I'd like to say the staff here are great. Very friendly and helpful. The lobby and dining area are swanky. Yes, that is the only term proper for use here. The rooms, while not horrible, are worn and in need of repairs. The linens were stained and in need of replacing. That said, the room was comfortable and the AC worked, shower worked etc. If the ownership etc. put some effort and money into this place it could be amazing. The bad - The "Free" breakfast. A couple rolls, toast or cereal, some fruit... That was it. When asked about a hot meal option the person we spoke with said they offered pancakes for $1 each, etc. We skipped it and moved on. Very disappointing.
We were with friends in town for one night for the Pink show. I didn't have a lot of choices when booking our hotel, and I did read reviews prior to choosing Clarion so it seemed acceptable. The location was pretty good as we were able to take the back roads to Century Link Center and avoid the traffic on the freeway. The people working at the front desk were nice. While it's true this hotel(it felt more like a MOTEL) is undergoing renovations, it's like putting lipstick on a pig. The outside entrance, the lobby and dining area look very nice, with marble tile, beautiful chandeliers, and an open layout, but that is where the niceness ends. The rooms have not been renovated, and they need to be! The carpet lining the hallways needs to be ripped out and replaced as it's ripped, dirty and outdated. The room was definitely not cleaned well and hadn't been in quite some time, as it felt and looked dirty. There were yellow stains on the towels, the sheets were stained with greenish black spots, and the walls and door had never been wiped down when liquid had been spilled. Why bother using white linens if you're not going to bleach or replace them they are stained? This motel offers free breakfast, however, there isn't much to speak of. Our friends went down at 7 AM and the only items available were cereal and fruit. When we went down around 9:15 there was gravy, potatoes, and eggs along with the cereal, but it looked like they may have had more options and ran out and did not replace them. That being said, we skipped it and went elsewhere. To top it off, the day we arrived, they were short staffed due to a death in the family so our rooms were not ready. We waited about thirty minutes, while our friends had to wait almost two hours. This part I realize can't be helped, but it was just one other thing on top of everything else. We were charged $72 a night, which seems like a lot for the condition of the place. $55 would have been more logical. I do not recommend staying here and will not do so again.
While the hotel is under renovations, our stay was not affected at all. The room was quiet, comfortable & clean. Breakfast was ok. Plenty of parking. Several fast food restaurants very close should you choose to not eat at the hotel. I would stay here again.
Holy Wow!! Beautiful Hotel with plenty of truck parking & an amazing rate. We've paid ALOT more to stay at a lower quality hotel. The room was very clean & quiet, with 4 fluffy pillows per bed & cloud-like comforters...going to buy these for my own bed. Every employee we came in contact with was so very nice & always asking what they could help with. The breakfast area is huge & gorgeous. It really boggles my mind when people complain about FREE food?? The breakfast offered here is perfect. Our 2 night stay..was perfect. If I could give a 10 Star rating I would, they deserve that very much.
The hotel is just finishing up renovations to the outside and s few small details inside but will turn out much better than it was before. It probably won’t cost as much as it does now once they finish, but it is looking pretty good so far. Rooms are clean and freshly painted. Need to update the furniture to meet the upgraded interior. Nice lobby and atrium. Will end up being a 3-4 hotel once completed.
Hotel is under renovation. Front desk was very polite and helpful. My room was reasonably priced and very clean. They have a restaurant on site and food was good. I read another review rating this place low nothing I seen here was true all halls and carpet were clean and the comment about being a place for construction workers to stay seems way out of line. Great place to stay.
